The Board should've seen this coming and removed Lenny weeks ago, it's shocking that they have allowed it to get to this stage.

This is what I can't understand I'm pretty sure me and you posted more or less at the same time saying if he wasn't removed the board would be then in the firing line. We have literally slept walk in to this position and appear to have zero interest in fixing it. Yet again the support are 3 steps ahead of the club

If the same abuse was levelled at Lawell instead of Lennon he prob would have been sacked by now. Board members will always look out for number 1. Soon as the fans turn on them, they'll protect themselves by sacrificing the manager.

It's all on the board to deal with this. The mounting poor results are down to them not acting earlier. They're at the top to make the biggest decisions for the club. It's not Lennon's responsibility to resign and walk away from a lucrative contract; he has every right to want to honour his contract and receive the money he's contracted to earn.

Quite happy to sit and do * all about what's happening on the park but the second they get to have a go at supporters there's a statement out rapid, never * change arseholes.

    Celtic Football Club Statement

Everyone at the Club is hugely disappointed by this afternoon’s result, one which has ended our phenomenal run of 35 consecutive cup victories.

While we sincerely share the huge disappointment of all Celtic supporters, there can be no excuse for some of the violent scenes at Celtic Park this evening. The Club will be investigating these events fully.

For players and a management team, who have given so much in recent years and have delivered 11 consecutive trophies, to require an escort from Celtic Park while being targeted with missiles, is simply unacceptable.

While we understand that only a small number of people were involved in this behaviour, some of the actions this evening, which have obviously left our own players shaken, cannot be condoned in any way.

    * shambolic statement I’m shaking with rage right now, fair enough Condemn some of the more unsavoury scenes with the throwing of fencing etc..

but address the issue the fan base were using the protest to convey

get him, lawell and the rest to *, they are done. I'll never give them another penny from my pocket.

Any evidence at all it was the GB who orchestrated the violence, real campaign gathering momentum to get at them now...

What violence are we talking about? I’ve seen one section of a fence being knocked over.
The board and media would now have us believe that a full scale riot took place.
Have they produced any evidence that missiles were thrown at the players yet?

Alleged violence may have been better, wasn't there myself but with Polis injured etc there must have been some degree.

My main point is there seems to be a campaign to blame the GB for normal fans anger, is there any evidence they were actually even there?

If the board are keeping the manager now, we're heading for a long term problem. Season ticket renewal will be an interesting time.

They need to be haunted out of this club. Together with this * Desmond. Their ego is too big and they put it before the club. Fans need to cancel season tickets and stop bying merchandise. That's the only talk they understand. I know why I stopped my monetary support couple of years ago because the money goes straight into their pockets instead of the squad and staff. The protests need to be directed at them now.

When are the Board and the Cops releasing pictures of all those throwing 'missiles' at the players and staff?

In this modern age when everybody has a camera in their pocket ( and the Scots cops always filming fans ) i'm finding it hard to believe that no images have been published. Did the hundreds of protestors who turned up rush out the door without taking their phones? did the police helicoptor have its view blocked by the smoke from the burning tyres and clouds of tear gas?

Can the players who had missiles thrown at them please come out in public and condemn those who threw them!

Just seen on SSN that the board are backing Lennon after Zoom meetings yesterday.

the whole club is rotten with the powers at be in charge. This is a big * you to all of the fans.

it’s a shambles it’s come to this and the only way it’s going to change is if the fans don’t go back until there is change.

these * parasites are only interested in their bank balances and bonuses.

Doing it cheap and trying to sell it as premium.

We have no say or influence on how our club is run and that's so frustrating in times like these.. It has to change.

They've actually backed Lennon financially in the summer, our window looked solid and most were happy with it.

They know they're absolutely within their rights to get rid of Lennon.

But, they're holding off, what to teach the fans a lesson. * off.
