As direct as the source can be.

The whole thing is in jeopardy now because Desmond doesn’t want to be seen to be cowering to the fans. It looks like the protests on Sunday night have had the opposite effect.

He’s been asked to resign, but I assume he has refused as I’ve had no update since 2pm and there’s no movement.
If Desmond doesn’t want to be seen as having his hand force and Lenny won’t resign, we have a stalemate.

Should get some more from the Jack Ross and Hibs side in the next hour. I can’t imagine they will be too pleased about it all.

Oddschecker now has Strachan as favourite at 6/4 cut from 7/1 with Eddie Howe drifting from 4/6 to 5/2. Oh dear!

Paddy Power and Skybet as things stand just now. O’Neill and Ross hammered in.

Hopefully Petrescu’s odds are slashed by the morn.

    You will soon see.

When the stubbornness subsides and/or Lenny walks, Ross will take the reigns.

So what you’re saying is, get every penny on Ross seeing as O’Neill is the odds on fav just now with skybet?

    * knows. He shouldn't even be mentioned as an assistant never mind the manager.

    If he's hired we're finished.

If Jack Ross is hired then I'd go as far to say anyone buying a season ticket for next season is actively harming the club. We can affect the club in one way and one way only. If you blindly give them money, you contribute to mediocrity.

Mediocrity and more control for the board.

If he is brought in, and it's a big if, he will be brought in for the following reasons:

    - So they don't need to deal with a manager when they want to make cheap 'diamond in the rough' signings from their favourite agents.
    - They can make him play whatever players they want to shop window.
    - They can sell whoever they want without huge objections.
    - They won't get any grief to improve the footballing facilities or bring in coaching staff.
    - They would be bringing in a relatively poor man (in the footballing context) who will just be delighted to quadruple his salary and potentially earn some bonuses.

Bringing in Jack Ross instead of going out and getting the best manager available would be equivalent to me rejecting a job promotion to live unemployed, paying my mortgage with my savings, but assuming in those 3 months I will win the Euromillions lottery.

If it worked out for someone like Jack Ross here it would be by pure uneducated chance from our board's point of view. All the evidence suggests he should be no where near this club.

Strachan is a lazy answer in every way. From media, he's celticminded and son in staff. Therefore probably * all in it.

However, as we all know our board, you can't say no. And it's a lazy option for them too.

To be honest, it's kinda embarrassing that old managers (Lennon included) seem to be the extent of our reach/vision. Surely we can afford upto £2m a year in wages for a top coach, or about £3m for a coach and backroom staff. That's only the price of one risky prospect transfer per season, and has a higher yield prospect

Gunnery Sargent Hartmann from Full Metal Jacket. Not sure tactics would be a strong point but at least he'd get us fit. The thought of him screaming I'M GONNA PT YOU TILL YOU F**KING DIE!!!! at Ntcham is pleasing to me.
