He was quick enough to hand in his resignation when he thought that he could land the Norwich City job.

100% agree with the bit about what made Neil Lennon successful previously. It's nearly ironic that Neil's whole world has been telling him for years he needs to calm down, he can't behave in such a way or he cannot talk the way he does. I honestly feel as if the determination, passion, grit, never say die attitude has just been beaten out the man. He is trying to show he has grown into the role, he has become a more deep thinker etc when in an actual fact I think he is just muting his stronger points.

I used to find it very reassuring that when a Celtic team under Lennon under performed, he would make sure they knew it wasn't acceptable. Am not sure that's the case anymore. I think he is trying to be the man that puts a arm on their shoulders. The players don't need that right now, they need a boot up *!

Agreed. When I read he said he is trying to "cajole" the players, I thought the exact same thing, that's not what is needed right now at all, makes it sound like they are Under 9's or something

I actually feel a bit sorry for him. Not because of the criticism he is receiving, most of that is warranted, but because he should never have been put in this position in the first place. The only reason he is in this situation is because other people, mainly Lawwell, weren't doing their jobs properly when they appointed him, now he is the one suffering for it while they are getting off lightly.

Players now do not respond to being thrown under the bus these days. If it was as easy as shouting performances out of players, then we may as well get some clown like Neil Warnock in.

Players need to be coached in mind, body and tactically in this day and age.

His reply to that would probably be that the manager he employed has won every domestic trophy available to him.

I get fans prioritising the league, this season, but the manager needs to be better than that.
Dismissing European defeats like they are nothing is very very poor on him.

I say it all the time, build a squad for Europe and it'll also take care of the domestic scene.
Why we always wait till after qualification to do any work on the side is beyond me - within reason.

Callum McGregor was one of the most played players last few seasons, across all European leagues, I think our players are capable of handling the midweek games by now.

Dismissing these games, from the manager, in an attempt to gloss over his own failings is up there with everything else he's admitted to this season, unintentionally

This. People really think that all this team needs is for the decibels in the changing room to go up.

The players need someone they can look up to, I'm afraid Lennon isn't it.

Even if he does need a rest which is natural, it's not as if we'd have to resort to u-16's to pad out the team, the squad is bursting with midfielders right now. Sorro must be feeling it sitting on the bench every week man!

    Exactly.
Soro, Turnbull, connell all happily take a game off him to give the last a rest.

In fact if he is that dismissive of Europe and that concerned about the players fitness (ha), he actually should be playing dembele, Welsh, connell, Turnbull, soro, klimala, all tonight.

Watch as he names a standard 11 with perhaps one random surprise

More by luck (and Fraser Forster) than judgement I fear.

The winter break came at the worst possible time for them and the best for us, it disrupted their momentum and gave us a chance to regroup. There is no winter break this year and no indications of their momentum stalling, where we are playing * and showing no real signs of improvement.

Had there not been the winter break I have my doubts as to whether we would even be going for 10 this season to be honest.

    Agreed.

Seen a few people hold out hope for a hun collapse or for us to go on a massive winning run. Both things could happen, but there’s no actual evidence to support the idea that either will. It’s blind faith and no decision should be made on that basis.

I could actually accept things if we had made a noticeable improvement since the beginning of the season, but we’ve probably regressed since then.

Saying it’s a blip ...... losing 1-4 at home to the weakest team in your group is not a blip it’s a * disgrace and a big marker for how bad it is scorelines are always a good indicator it’s not like they were playing a top top team were that score line would be acceptable yes we can lose games because it unacceptable to think we can win every game going losing by a goal or 2 acceptable but the manner of that defeat was * shocking

If Lennon can't organise a disciplined, organised, cohesive team performance, against a team who humiliated us recently, with the backing of the squad and board, with a fully fit squad, in a dead rubber game, where he job is on the line (to us fans anyway as displayed by GB), then this is try the last hurrah. The final nail in the coffin. He believes its a blip, a loss of form that it just around the corner. Then show us. Prove us (myself included) wrong. Kick start the fight back tonight. This is your Killie moment.

Put up, or clear out. That simple.

    Hail hail.....

Gary Holt has resigned after looking at recent results and performances. A manager that has done the right thing by his club. Maybe losing Dykes played a part but Holt did well at Livi and has left making sure there is plenty of time for a new manager to turn things around.

My biggest fear is that Lenny cannot turn it around and will leave when we have already lost the league and not enough time for any manager to stop Sevco claiming the title. Wonder if Holt could organize our defence while he waits for a new job

He did not look or sound up for this match at all in the pre-match interview and that's a little worrying. He actually seemed pretty downbeat and that is not at all what we need right now. I'm more convinced with each passing game that we need a new face and some fresh impotus.

Also, sick of the likes of Hartson defending Lennon to the hilt. I understand they were team-mates and are still friends, but it's a bit insulting to blindly suggest he's the right man for the job. Hartson just said he deserves the chance to turn it around - it's November, John! We're not far off halfway through the season, how much time do you want?

Regardless of what you think of Lennon it's clear as day that we need specialist coaching. He clearly knows * all about setting up a defence. Why can we not have a dedicated defence coach? Someone who works on specifically on it like a defensive co-ordinator in the NFL?

    We're so * backwards it's unbelievable
