I wasn't aware of this yet I actually fired Live at Wembley on this morning, that's spooky.

What an incredible talent he was.

His shows weren't just shows, they were events.
You'll never again get bands like queen coming through in this country, only that generic pish that's spewed out of show like pop idol and the like.

They were only a great band because of Freddie, Deacon even admits that. Even with a great singer like Paul Rodgers it was a bit meh.

The best front man ever and it’s not even close.

Didn't particularly like the music but thought the man was amazing and as others have said as a frontman I'd struggle to name a better one.

Was lucky to be at knebworth in 86, his last show with queen. Never was a massive fan but the way he ran all over that stage, crowd in his hand, real showman. Also remember him saying * almost every other word at one point speaking to the crowd. Odd how you remember daft things like that lol...

The man was a genius, a true showman who had the crowd eating out of his hand after one song .
A legend taken far too early .

Just a superb talent who was worth every penny you paid to watch Him/Queen.
I'm of an age when I can remember watching Live Aid, yep the original, and His/Queens performance that day.. well worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Not enough Vids in this thread -

I used to stick the Wembley DVD on a fair bit on a Saturday night swally. Absolute legend and amazing intelligent guy to hear his interviews.
