Aye the least said about Rodgers (in)ability to spot a defender the better mind you :56:
It's always an issue though for us, is it the managers poorly identifying the players or the club above trying to be smart and find the gems? We had a really bad run of it with Strikers under Mowbray then Lennon last time as well. Too many "bargains" and hoping to make a profit, than just go out and spend the money - IE Ajeti this year, worth the money and didn't * around with a pair of £2million players.

Duffy, not that it changes anything, is on 25k I am sure he confirmed in a tweet.

We are a football club run solely as a business concern by a board who's only interest is money. If any other commercial business saw their main business rivals threatening to overtake them then they would react and take steps to ensure they would remain top dogs. Our board on the other hand have sat back on their rich Tory arses and heated driveways and allowed our club to fall behind in both Europe and now, shockingly, in our own domestic league. They have allowed a bunch of shysters to overtake us and, in return, will see their profits fall. So they have been negligent in their duties and deserve to be replaced by a more forward thinking board.

There’s a big mess here but 2 CL’s in 7 year is a scandalous return and can only be construed as a big failure. The board * it time and time again with their penny pinching and not getting players in time for qualifiers.

This season might have been an exception in the penny pinching respect, but the damage was done long ago - multiple times over many years. It’s ultimately why we got Lennon as manager, for example.

Better buy a big * off banner for that top. Tier.

That'll be their biggest purchase next summer.

Probably just as well we can't have fans at the games as I reckon the GB would have a few choice banners

Kinda get that, but I guess some feel it’s cos they appointed Lenny. Will never forgive our board for not going after the zombies and Scottish football authorities and all the corruption surrounding that though. Let’s be honest our board didn’t want a dead Rangers.

They didn’t make the decision. Rodgers was Dermot Desmond’s appointment. Scumbags every one of them, regardless of the team success or lack of on the pitch.

Where do you start with that. They have been complacent in allowing us to freefall in the Champions League, haven't brought in the necessary players both to keep us ahead in our domestic league and in readiness for the pre qualifying stages of the Champions League. How long did we * about replacing KT and miss out on McGinn because of of Lawell's stubbornness. They have also failed to address the Resolution 12 disgrace and have remained silent throughout the huns never ending cheating. They have also remained silent when we are getting shafted by the SFA and remain silent when diabolical refereeing decisions hurt our club. Basically, they have failed to go the extra mile when needed and we are now witnessing the effects of that.

The board need to grow a pair , there are serious problems in the dressing room and they have to deal with it including personnel changes if required as we don’t want to throw away 10 IAR .

For appointing Neil Lennon without (and admitted to this) looking at any other CV's

However the board have backed neil lennon with money and I commend that.... but unfortunately they backed the wrong man. And that's ultimately their fault

Exactly. That is the beginning and the end of that conversation.

Even if it was all working out it's still pretty unforgivable in my opinion. He used the Treble Treble as cover rather than do his job, for which he is very handsomely paid.

In all honesty, I think the board's spending since then is Lawwell trying to cover his own back because he knows if Lennon fails there will be nowhere for him to hide after saying he didn't consider any CVs.

Hes been well backed aye. But like I say they backed the wrong man.

We are in a situation here where I was happy with the money backed by the board but not happy with the man who spent the money.... when this happens the manager needs to go and the board have to take responsibility for the wrong decision.... the buck will stop at the manager if the board have the balls to sack him and get someone else in for me

Would rather less money was given to a better manager.
