Has anyone got 100% knowledge on how these tests are carried out and reported for footballers/clubs? I thought UEFA monitored this? Is that only for European and international's?

If it was more the club and the SPFL/SFA then I'd be more concerned of how they * teams over in this ie Saturday's game. I just struggle to believe they would have 7 international players and nothing at all.

However if it's monitored by NHS/Government/UEFA then fair enough,no cheating them as easy.

Imagine the story if it suddenly came to public knowledge that they deliberately held back on a known positive for a game

The BBC are reporting that St Mirren have had two more positive tests with a further player forced to isolate.

Is there a list of what clubs have had positive tests and players forced to isolate?

It is a little strange that Rangers haven't had a single issue so far. It is remarkably lucky when nobody else can manage to avoid it.

I'll guess that we'll start seeing issues with third choice players for home games against the likes of Hamilton.

Looks like the club are moving forward after the fan survey..hopefully some assurances have been given about fans returning.
Good sight to see but will only happen if rates go down as much as they went up. received_279636719824620.jpeg received_828861931214201.jpeg received_414324089967015.jpeg

League bosses have drawn up a controversial plan to dish out mandatory 3-0 defeats to any clubs who can’t play on through the coronavirus crisis.

Record Sport understands the emergency measure was discussed at a meeting of the SPFL board on Monday and will now be circulated to all 42 clubs as the authorities attempt to prepare for increasing fixture chaos in the face of rising Covid-19 cases.

The proposal has been tabled following the disruption that saw Kilmarnock fail to field a team for a Betfred Cup tie with Falkirk and St Mirren forced to pull the plug on Saturday’s top- flight clash with Motherwell.

And there are mounting fears of widespread call-offs over the winter months.

The SPFL has launched investigations into recent outbreaks at Kilmarnock and St Mirren to determine if all strict protocols were being adhered to behind the scenes at both clubs and could take disciplinary action if any breaches are established.

But while the board has the power to hand out 3-0 defeats for any club which cannot fulfil their fixtures in the Betfred Cup they do not have the authority to hand out similar sanctions in the league.

Clubs previously booted out a request for the board to be granted emergency powers in order to cope with potential consequences of the ongoing health crisis – despite the lockdown voting farce that brought last season to an early end.

SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster had asked for the extra remits in the hope of avoiding another civil war if this campaign cannot be completed.

But with transmission of the disease impacting on the fixture schedule Doncaster is set to go back to the clubs with his new crisis plan.

A Hampden source told us: “This will be described as a consultation because the board has to establish if there is an appetite for it to be put to a vote.

“It has the support of a number of clubs already but it’s obviously a sensitive issue. The main concern is the number of Covid-related postponements is highly likely to increase.”

If it keeps happening I think the club should stop players from going on international duty entirely until there is minimal restrictions. Plenty of other players that don’t have to travel across the world can play for their country

Would be a shame to have to null&void the season right enough.

Still winning the 10 with fans in the stadium does have some appeal. Plus big Duffy's loan would have finished.

Celtic FC understands that COVID-19 presents significant challenges for people, businesses and sectors across Scotland, including football, and that responding to those challenges whilst protecting health and safety will involve striking a difficult balance of a number of factors and considerations.

As we have made clear, the Club is committed to working with the football authorities and the Scottish Government to welcome supporters back to football as quickly and as safely as possible. From the work that we have carried out with our supporters, we know how important that is to them, too.

We therefore fully support the SPFL’s request for an urgent meeting with the First Minister to discuss the safe return of supporters to stadia in Scotland as soon as possible.

I think all football should be null & void during Covid crisis.

NO FOOTBALL SHOULD BE PLAYED AT ALL.

Congratulations go to Celtic FC as the only team who have refused to play football this season.

The Scottish Government has condemned Celtic's team photoshoot and said it is in breach of the current coronavirus guidance.

The Scottish champions posted a video of behind-the-scenes footage of their team picture session on November 17 on their Instagram and Twitter channels.

It shows the players and coaching team at Lennoxtown in the traditional three rows, side by side with each other.

The Scottish Government has branded the images as "irresponsible", but Celtic say they have not broken any rules.

A Scottish Government spokesperson said: "We would condemn any gathering at a football club or sporting venue that is in breach of the Covid-19 guidance - wherever it takes place - agreed between the SPFL and the Scottish Government, that puts individuals and their families at risk of infection and serious illness.

"If the examples being highlighted today do prove to have happened, we would consider them deeply disappointing and irresponsible, and would expect this to be taken extremely seriously by the football authorities.

"Professional football has considerable privileges - but these depend on following the guidance."

A Celtic statement said: "The photo was taken and published weeks ago and undertaken with all established protocols.

"We will happily discuss this with the Scottish Government should they wish to do so.

"Celtic's own stringent protocols have ensured that, to date, following thousands of individual tests, we have recorded no positive cases within our squad with the only cases affecting the club being recorded while our players have been away on international duty."

Sky Sports News understands that the SPFL cannot investigate the events of the photoshoot as it did not affect any fixtures and any probe would have to come from the SFA.

The SFA has been approached for comment.

What’s the script with this season if football has to shut down again and can’t get started. Seen someone say it could be null and void if it’s not 75% complete. Surely just someone taking the * though :56:
