    We shouldn’t be discrediting Gallagher because he plays for Motherwell .... he did pretty well against jovic and Miinkovic savic both real and lazio players and Marshall has been pulling off saves I’d expect of Forster in recent performances

    You’re right about Gallagher. I was wrong to judge him on that. It’s just when he plays against us he hardly stands out as one of the players from their squad i’d take. I’m not saying Marshall isn’t a good keeper, but I find it funny that during the summer he was seen as the cheap and less glamorous option but now he’s the best thing since sliced bread and you’ve got all sorts of people coming out now saying “I told you we should’ve signed him” when in actual fact, the vast majority of supporters wanted us to go for Barkas if we couldn’t get Forster. Marshall was seen as the easy option.

    What we should have done was sign him on a free regardless of signing barkas just in case that transfer didn’t work out Celtic normally have 3 goalies anyway

    Boats sailed on Gallagher anyway. These Scotland performances will of put him at the McKenna prices now which we weren’t willing to pay to another Scottish club but will gladly * money similar to random clubs across Europe

    CB/DCM who would be ideal for us would be Riechey Bazoer 24 year old who has had caps for Holland and was once touted as a future star.

    Bazoer came through at Ajax but then moved to Wolfsburg for £10m. He had loans at Porto and Utrecht before ending up back at Vitesse. He has plenty of experience of Eredivisie and Bundesliga for someone so young.

    It seems things went a bit downhill for Bazoer when despite coming through as a CB he wanted to play further forward and even played as a right winger for Wolfsburg or AM. After his career dip he has dropped back as a CB since moving to Vitesse.

    He would be a great option to partner the likes of Julien, as Bazoer is around 6ft so not the tallest but is strong, quick and able to bring the ball out or had an excellent range of passing covering where Julien is weak.

    Alternatively he could play DCM or has operated on the left of a back three fairly regularly so could slot in either of these depending on our formation. The video below is a few years out of date but shows his ability.

    I wanted Ajeti instead of Toney, but it’s starting to look like we went for the wrong guy.

    Ajeti hasn’t scored in two months and still looks way off full fitness. Toney is ripping it up down there.

    Apart from being a good finisher, Ajeti doesn’t look up to much. His fitness is a big concern.

    Would like to see him get a consistent run of games in a 2 up front before I make a final judgement.
