    I guess this thread makes sense. We are (mostly) all on the same page regarding Celtic at the moment so it stands to reason we need something else to rip the forum apart :giggle1:

    Ah, another strange topic (to go alongside the jobby one) which deserves some deep intellectual thought. After some lengthy deliberation I would say my choice of vocabulary for this would be totties however, I have on occasion said tatties when they are served with mince of course ;)

    My mum and dad would go tattie picking back in the day during these holidays. True story btw, not a teuchter joke. Tattie howking it was called. Same as the berries in the summer.

    I don't know whether to believe the Tattie Holidays or not,never heard that phrase before.....blame the Mafia guys, they have made me question and distrust everything.

    Totally believe the second part, my dad used to pick potatoes and fruit when he was young.
