Just because you play in the EPL for a period of time or because an English club wants to spend money on you means * all.

Efe was light years ahead of this dud.

    Well that’s just clearly nonsense.

Sheffield United spent £20m on Oliver McBurnie. And that’s just the first one that popped into my head.

Bournemouth spent a combined £30-35m, if I remember correctly, on Ibe and Solanke.

The league is fairly notorious for spending millions on complete *.

Using the epl as a yardstick for ability is so * skewed!

Just go have a look at some of the duds bought for vast sums of money!

Let's get rid of this idea that he played in the Premier League for 5 years. He played 5 games for Everton in 5 years and was consistently loaned to lower league teams.

£10m is buttons in the Premier league, the guys pish, not suited to our team and if he was any fan. He'd hand every penny we've paid him back and go back down south asap.

I was willing to give the big guy the benefit of the doubt but his defending for the 3rd goal on Thursday was amateurish to say the least. Unfortunately we haven't had a settled defence since day one of this season which hasn't helped but he still doesn't look solid enough for me.

It shouldn’t even be considered when assessing a player.

Loads of * players there, like every other league. Loads of excellent ones too obviously.

To me, it looks like Duffy underestimated the standard here and has been caught short.

Duffy is a solid backs to the wall defender which doesn't suit us atall. He can't play any good type of football & is slow as *. I blame the scouts & the manager for bringing him in thinking he would suit us. We needed a strong defender good in the air with a bit of pace that could play the ball out from the back.

I know we aren't getting something at the top of their game with all 3 traits but there must be players with a decent all round game or a young quality one out there that would have been better than Duffy.

Scott McKenna would have been a far better bet.

If you want to compare their curricula vitæ, Ambrose is an Olympic medalist with over 50 international caps, who has won major honours at club level (in multiple countries) and international level, and received individual acclaim in the Champions League and Africa Cup of Nations.

Duffy featured regularly in the Premier League for two seasons, fighting relegation. He played 211 minutes and 1 minute for Everton in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons, respectively, and played 1,231 minutes for Brighton and Hove Albion last season.

The Premier League is obviously overhyped, and its player valuations are grossly overinflated.

I'd rather Welsh in and Elhamed at RB so we can have Frimpong further up, I'm not a massive fan of him in defence.

If duffy is in the team tomorrow i will not watch the match. If lenny refuses to drop someone who has cost us multiple goals then it tells us one of two things.Lenny is a idiot and refuses to change. Lenny has to play him because of instructions from upstairs.

No i won't,if we are not even dropping the player who is helping the teams we play more than he is helping us then what is the point.
Same with eddy,if he is up front again on his own he might as well play in goal.

He's been poor, but ffs, it's getting ott with him.

He was poor on Thursday but by * he was miles better than Bitton who was horrific.

I don't have a problem with him being dropped once Ajer and Julien are back, but it's the go to guy now for blame.

Aye maybe give El Hamed a go, but he's been pish too so let's not get carried away with him too, player 2 decent games and they weren't for us.

We all know where the real problem is and they're 1 yard in front of them.
