    Finished and enjoyed Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Chosen the second book in this series which is very much along a Game of Thrones line.

    Just started under the volcano. Only heard about it recently but apparently quite a famous book. Alright so far, written in 1930’s so grammar is a bit strange.

    For a change of pace I indulged in my favourite graphic novel Tintin reading Volume 4 of Herge's Adventures of Tintin. The volume contains Red Rackham's Treasure and the 2 part story The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun.

    Finished Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Avatar the third and final book in that fantasy triology that has a kind of Game of Thrones feel to it and enjoyed it.

    Finished Peter Beresford Ellis's The Celtic Revolution. The book is a very good overview of who the 6 Celtic nations are and how they came to be where they are in the modern world. What is also interesting is the book was published in 1985 and of course a lot has happen in the 35 years since then.

    @StPauli1916

    I finally finished Bandit Country. Dipped in and out of it for months until it got to the border campaign then I was hooked.

    It was a good, balanced read.

    South Armagh was * badass.

    Been a bit quiet in this thread recently but read quite a few books over the last few months. The big shout is for the Murderbot series by Martha Wells and I'd recommend these to anyone! 4 of the 5 books are novellas so the short length, with the speed at which the story plays out works really well. Book 5 in the series which came out at the start of Lockdown was the first full Novel in the series. While still good, dragged at times in the middle. #6 comes out next year which will be another novella, but aye... Well worth checking out.

    I related to murderbot a bit too much... He's half human/half robot who's contracted to protect humans as they do their research on a planet.
    Except he hates humans and would rather binge tv shows all day.

    Obviously the story evolves from this as you work through the series but that's the gist.

    Finished Michael Moynihan's GAAconomics. Basically an in depth look at money in the GAA given that Gaelic games are * sports. Thought it was very interesting and a good behind the scenes look at how the GAA works from a financial perspective at all angles.

    Finished this number last week after being on the radar for a while. Cards on the table, I like DeLonge - From Blink - Boxcar - AvA to his media stuff in Strange Times.

    DeLonge left Blink to focus on his To the Stars academy which consists of ( his words) a "team of the most experienced, connected and passionately curious minds from the U.S. intelligence community". Anyway shortly after this book came out which is Non-fiction (depending on who you talk to) told in a fiction context.

    Its actually quite a decent read and moves pretty quickly for something which is over 650 pages long. If you liked stuff like Project Blue Book, X-Files...or have a general interest in UFO cover-ups then im pretty sure you'll like this.

    Perpetually using these as reference books, one for my work and one for my main hobby. Mixing secrets is absolutely fascinating
