He helped out today doing what he was brought in today by giving us a physical presence against a big strong team in Aberdeen. They have a crazy number of tall physically strong players making them a handful at set pieces. Duffy won his fair share there. His passing was decent bar a few overly ambitious efforts.

Decent today. If he can maintain that standard he’ll be handy to have around.

No denying he has been brutal but he has barely played in over a year. Hopefully as he plays more he becomes more solid, starting today, but his positioning is still a worry for me.

Did well today. Besides the odd one, I thought his passing was very good. Couple of cross field diagonals right on the mark. Dealt with the aerial threat. A good day!

The guys still a dumpling, expect far better for value than what we are getting.

I'd still have a fully fit Julien and Ajer ahead of him.

I won't write him off yet, I want him to do well. He has been a bit clumsy but watching back yesterday he did OK. Hopefully get a bit of confidence and sharpness and he can be a replied upon option this season.

He just needs to stick to the basics and stop trying to be something he's not.

Have you watched him over the years playing for Brighton & Ireland. The lad is a good player. He had a bad start with us. Remember he hadn't played in nearly 9 months before he joined us and then had to play a load of games within a short period of time. The best of his play has yet to come for this season.

There is not a single Celtic supporter that wants to see Duffy fail to have a brilliant season.

The criticism he has been getting is merited and i think most of that is down to the expectations and hype that surrounded his arrival.

On that note - if he hasn't played for 9 months and is not up to speed / match fitness etc then why is Lenny playing him when so many others are not getting much game time for the exact same reasons that people want to extend to Duffy?

We have not been lucky in the defensive positions with so many players ruled out for various reasons. As long as Duffy keeps it simple at the back he will do ok. I think there a good few mistakes still to come from him and just hope they are not costly when it comes to winning points

Yes I have, playing for Brighton and for Ireland is a huge step down from Celtic. Being Irish, from Derry and a Celtic fan doesn't make you good enough.

He's used to backs against the wall defending, not in a high pressing defensive line.

I've seen boats turn quicker than him, its not his fault. Whoever scouted him for our system needs sacked. There were better (and cheaper alternatives out there)

I hope he comes good but I said this in the weeks leading up to us signing him that we should be looking elsewhere.

Well, right now, it looks to be the same person who scouted Soro and Paddy for 5M, and also Boli and Taylor for another 5M, and Barkas for 5M.

Out of all all of them Soro looks like he has potential. Polish Paddy won't cut it. Taylor is honking, Bolingoli is honking but fast and Barkas looks under pressure and devoid of any confidence, I'd hate to see him with a full Celtic Park.

Although having Duffy in front of me wouldn't instill any confidence in me either.

How are you judging Soro and Klimala?

    * think you can go out and sign Van Dijks and Wanyamas every single time.

I think he’ll come good for us. Let’s not forget the Ajer and Jullien partnership had its dodgy moments last season which is partly why we were looking for the reinforcement.

Looks far more comfortable in a back 4.

Think need to back him to come good. Sometimes the fact he maybe gives a bit more of a * than your average signing coming in blind can have an initial negative effect. I remember jullien getting belters on here v Lyndon dykes and now this season v Kilmarnock, now people talk about him like he's baresi. That's not to say Duffy shouldn't be dropable if we are going with a 4 and jullien and ajer are playing better. Gonna stop now as I can hear Neil Lennon voice in my head saying these words

Tbh, I’d quite like to see Ajer in a DM role, in front of Jullien and Duffy.
