Where I live in North Wales a good few years ago I got loads of the locals in the 2 pubs into The King Of Black Pudding Stornoway:50:
We all chip in and get orders direct from Stornoway. Now they are getting into Lorne Sausage and other marvels. :84:

You’re only saying that because you don’t know. We will get a TC meet up after the new year and I will introduce you to the greatest black pudding you have ever tasted.

Ulster fry speciality...I used to think it was a thing throughout Ireland but no, just in the north! I agree, very strange name considering it is mostly meat!

Are you worried you are the only Ulsterman to speak of this abomination?

Sounds like a Presbyterian concoction myself.

Did someone not leave black pudding on your doorstep once?

I love black pudding myself, I seen how it was made as a child while spending the summer in Ireland, I swore I would never eat it again....I lasted until my Nana cooked it :56:

Yep. Opened the door one morning and there it was, a single slice of black pudding just sitting there on the welcome mat :giggle1:

Nope. No idea. Although the way my life went after that I’m assuming it was part of some satanic ritual to ruin my life. :giggle1:

This thread sure gets the taste buds going. I used to love eating all what's been posted however my breakfasts are abit different these last few years and I feel all the better for it. 6 of the best although my breakfasts would consist of more than 6 items.

Veggie juice first. All orgonic with most grown here in the west of Ireland in Galway. Pricey they can be but well worth it when you consider what else we would consume that has not much health benefits that we would waste our money on.

    Kale
    Spinach
    Celery
    Beetroot
    Carrots
    Leafy cabbage
    red cabbage
    Pineapple
    Lemon
    Ginger
    Turimic
    Corcette

Free ranged eggs from the farmer across the road from me.
    Spring onion.
    Peeled carrots.
    White onion.
    Garlic chopped.
    All cooked in coconut oil.

White bread with orgonic coconut spread with advacado spread all over.
    A dash of cayene pepper.

Washed down with a cup of tea.

Small Bowl of oats with either goat's milk or almond milk with a large spoon of my own honey from my hives.

Edit: I would usually have sour doe bread however the misses hasn't made it or bought any from the shops the last few days so I had to settle for this as a filler. Usually wouldn't eat the white bread but as a last resort, I has to throw it in for eating with the eggs.

Must admit, someone once described it as "like eating a scab" which put me off of it for a few months, same as when eggs were described as "an encapsulated chicken period" sort of put me off.
