This is just as daft as saying we should never buy a Brazilian defender cause Rafael Scheidt was *.

This just shows how low some fans expectations are about what Celtic should be achieving. Again allowing mediocrity to creep into the club at every level.

Not a go at you fella, just as a whole some fans are allowing this to become the norm.

That is an utterly moronic attitude.

There are countless successful foreign managers, and innumerable homegrown failures.

I agree but that surely directly related to the level of performances we have been putting in under him. I would like to think if we lose again on Thursday the decision will be taken out of his hands

The arguments for keeping Lennon as manager are so poor. They really are.

Aye I'm all for accepting that we are in a tough group and that Milan and Lille are tough games. But realistically we should be looking to go toe to toe with Lille and get something out of the two games.

We should be looking to get 9 or 10 points to get through this group, not accepting that we may only get 4 off Prague.

That level of acceptance is horrid and I'm not accepting being told we was * 26 years ago as a reason for us to accept it now.
    Absolutely not.

Overall I'm now getting tired of arguing the points.
Last thing I will say, Lennon should have been sacked two weeks ago.
Anyone defending him, you are deluded and using blind faith.
I get it, but it is what it is.

    From Alison Conroy’s twitter:

“Strong stuff from Neil Lennon today on criticism of him, Shane Duffy, the team at a whole.

“There’s no justification at the moment for me to be sacked, none whatsoever”. “

You would assume Lenny would use all this negativity to fire up the team, but it just ain't happening, we're not seeing a response.

Not surprised by Lennon's comments at all. Digging his heels in.
CL exit, his outburst after CL exit, pish poor performances all season, comfortably beat from the Huns, dropped points in two of toughest games outwith the derby (Sheep and Killie away).

Anyone listen to Sportsound yesterday? Tom English brushing off the situation by referring to Celtic fans calling for Lenny’s dismissal as “drunk on success”. Spot on Thomas, and we this inebriating success to continue this season of all seasons, which is why Lenny must go.

It was tongue-in-cheek ya walloper! The point I was alluding to was that this is not the season to be chasing up-and-coming managers. We need a proven steady-hand to get us over the line.

We can look for the next hot young (managerial) thing some other time!

We could lose Thurs and Sun and he still won't be sacked.

I agree there will be managers like that around but there's always a risk taking a young manager who's never worked outside his own country as we found with Deila. There's no guarantee they'll be any better than a Jack Ross type who could turn out to be a great manager (or not). Why is a young promising foreign manager any more likely to be a success than a promising young Scottish one.

    “One bad week”.

He’s utterly delusional, at this point.

He's made excuses and tried to hide from the fans for months now as well. He's deluded to think this is all from the Hun game.
He came out raging after the champions League exit, he knows down well it's been building since then.

He can't talk about disrespect to him and his team, but his team and him are disrespecting the fans at this point.

After initially saying I think he should go after Sunday, I know have a gut feeling that he will turn it around and go on to lift the ten.

I have little to back that up since we all know the start to the season hasn't been as good enough but he will turn this around.
