Difference with him and Gerrard over the summer is that Gerrard sorted out all the weaknesses they had and improved on what they had. We spent a * load on what felt like overpriced panic buys and didn't really improve on anything. Haven't got a set 11 or any real game plan. Players body language since summer is as if its a hassle sticking around for this 10 in a row push

Very real chance we go 4 games without a win, and in our current form there is no Guarantee we beat Aberdeen or Sparta Prague after.

With the same matches played it's going to be 3 unless we drop more points. I agree but also looking at the bigger picture, we have many top players to return to the side and I'm banking on that plus our experience of winning.

He did get some things wrong and I actually don't believe the 1st pen was a pen but I could have been ref today and we'd still have struggled. Our problems are deep-rooted and only we can change them.

I’m not saying it’s ALL individual errors. Neils decision making has had me scratching my head a few times this season too.

Today though, 3 individual errors cost us. Not NL.

Tbh mate, personally didn’t see any real improvement in that Aberdeen team from last few seasons that we’ve pumped them, a kinda thought laws of averages they were due to nick something off us

Not that it will give anyone consolation but I don’t think we will have a problem with them at hampden next Sunday

Lennon set us up in a system that saw us struggle to create chances despite dominating possession, and get carved open fairly regularly.

Putting goals down to individual errors just diminishes the good work of the opposition, and there was good work from them.

Ntcham made a mistake, as did their player in giving away a penalty.

Duffy was beaten for pace far too easily, but it wasn’t a goal purely down to an individual error. You work to draw him out of position, isolate him with a fast player 1 vs 1, and get rewarded for doing that.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Can’t be too critical today - conceded 3 dreadful goals. That’s not the fault of the manager. Dons looked ok to be honest.

Hayes looked a player we could have used in what remains my preferred formation.

jullien has his weaknesses, but is a clear miss when not there.

I thought Calmac was poor today. Early booking, 2 silly fouls in second half that put pressure on, daft for final pen too.

Ajeri cannot play up to solo. Or even with someone in the hole “behind” him.

Rogic showed enough to suggest that he remains a very important squad player when fit.

Soro will never play for the team.

Duffy looks beyond average. Big financial gamble - looks like a big mistake. I don’t see how he plays when jullien is fit again. If bench options a priority, bitton and elhamed offer capacity to play multi position, so Duffy falls further down pecking order.

3-5-2 clearly no longer flavour of month - Duffy will be the casualty. Correctly.

I honestly wouldn't. The force of the contact from Ntcham was minimal, nowhere near enough to put a full-grown man to the floor. Ferguson feels him at his back and collapses in a heap, the ref buys it. I've been nudged harder than that in the xmas sales and funnily enough didn't collapse in a heap. It's pure gamesmanship but given refs often give fouls for it you can't really blame players for doing it.

Don’t think we should get Martin or roy in but aw this talk about Eddie Howe, a guys who’s done a decent job last few seasons keeping Bournemouth from being relegated,

if we’re looking for that type of manager as well going for big Sam or Harry redknapp
