He'd probably do well for a team that's ultra defensive, backs to the wall, park the bus for the 90 kinda team

 

Should’ve been the type of game he thrived in.

Shouldn’t be anywhere near the first XI.

 

I never knew much about him, but was encouraged by the praise from so many on here (and subsequently by his first 2 performances).

I thought we were getting (had got) the Irish Baresi!

What a terrible footballer. You could forgive the fact that he can barely control the ball if he was an excellent defender. But nope. What he did to give them that 2nd goal was unforgivable. Must be banished.

What does lennon see in him that he keeps getting games, I'd have done better today

 

I didn’t understand the hype of this one bit. He was heralded as the second coming of messi. I had to double check I had the correct Shane Duffy. You know, the one who can’t get a game for the mighty Brighton. He makes Majstorovic look like Maldini

 

Interesting how Duffy was seen for a good couple of years in the EPL as a very decent, if limited, defender, but comes up here and is found out.

Part of it might be that he was in a relegation-fighting side with his back against the wall, not having the problem of having to decide what to do with the ball. He isn’t used to being in a dominating team, and can’t handle it.

Another factor will be the chopping and changing of team mates and formations.

And then the rest is probably down to simple complacency tbh. Perhaps scoring those couple of goals in his first two or three games was the worst thing for him. Maybe thought he was going to stroll it

 

It was between Duffy and Welsh. Lennon went for experience and trusted Duffy. Hopefully lennon knows Duffy can't be trusted after that .

 

Wow how bad is this guy? Comically bad is the answer.

 

Tbh I thought he was sound up until their 2nd. But that amount of errors in these few games he’s played is worrying. I want Bitton back in there, even ahead of Julien for me.

 

There's been hugely talented players with big reputations that have come here and buckled under the pressure. Duffy is extremely limted and is also clearly suffering with the huge expectations. Magnified undoubtedly bcos he's a known fan. End result is what u see on the pitch. Garbage!

 

Even Jozo made less mistakes than this donkey.

 

Tyler Blackett had more technical ability than Duffy..

And that's saying something.

 

David Murray has more technical ability than Duffy.

 

So far,and correct me if i'm wrong,he has * or been part of a * up, 1 goal for ireland,2 goals for the huns,3 for Milan and now 1 for aberdeen.
That is not a level of complacency or changing team mates or having to much time on the ball.
If someone is running at you,or putting in a cross it's the same if your at celtic or benbecula FC,defence is defence 90 mins or 20 mins or 3 mins per game.

Efe ambrose was better than duffy,sore teef or not.
