You said his record is padded and you’re the one going off on random tangents.

So I’ll ask again, who is his record padded with?

Not anyone close to Khabib. I guarantee you he would admit that himself. Khabib wins very easily at this moment. Both at peak and its a very good fight.

Khabib is the best wrestler the UFC has ever seen.

We’ll never see someone as dominant as him again.

There’s a reason the Canadian team wanted him at the Olympics, despite having no * background.

And it’s not because his wrestling was not anywhere close to someone like Khabib.

Never going to happen but would like them to do a tournament for the 155 belt now. McGregor, Poirier, Ferguson, Chandler, Gaethje, Hooker, Oliveira, Felder

My one criticism of Khabib is that he did not step up in weight class. In GOAT terms that has to go against him massively.

Look at his record Paul. Look how much he fought early on then how little he’s fought when it’s actually mattered.

Don’t even try and tell me his 29-0 record is any near as significant than someone like Jones or GSP.

You throw out the word “casual” as if you know all the bums he was fighting early on. He’s got about 8 significant fights that have taken 6 years after he found his feet in the UFC. The way he’s won those fights to me is far more meaningful than this inflated 29-0.

I’ve not went on a tangent once. I’ve made the same point every time. You’re slagging him and defending him at the same time. You’ve even played down his win last night, yet you’re bigging up his early career. Because you’re an uber fan.

I don’t get why you’re arguing with me about a phoney 29-0 when we agree with this.

I laughed at him being pummelled for 4 rounds until khabib decided it was enough. Was even funnier seeing him make excuses for the lose.

Jones is a drugs cheat and shouldn’t be in any conversation for the GOAT position.

My pic still goes to GSP.

By that logic a heavyweight could never be considered the GOAT... ?

Not a factor for defining the GOAT for me. You are what you are.

TBH, I find the fascination with proclaiming a UFC GOAT to be a bit hokay as its such a young competition.

Yes, its a fact that there will always be a GOAT in every competition, but to be the UFC GOAT? Well, its hardly the same honour (or worthy of the the same depth of discussion) as the likes of boxing. Also, a UFC GOAT is a claim that's going to change hands very quickly over the coming years as the sport is gathering real pace - we've recently had reasonable claims made for Silva, St Pierre, Jones, McGregor, Nurmagomedov... and all these 'GOAT's in a competition that can really only be taken seriously in the last 15 years?

But hey - it's not all about me! I'm just being a grumpy *!

Well they could cos they just step down. See Couture and DC. Not Goats but greats.

Some can’t step down. That’s just taken into account on a case by case basis. Khabib could have stepped up, easily.

I still think Khabib should have fought Ferguson before retiring, they're arguably the best lightweights of all time, active at the same time but we'll never get to see them fight.
