It is painful to say, almost brings a tear to the eye because he's a modern legend as player who will probably sit in higher regard than Lennon himself for his service as a player

But gee him a rest and let Ajer take up his role.

Push McGregor Christie and Rogic up the park to support Ajeti or Eddie.

We need to move forward with less appearances from him. That's it in a nutshell

Playing Brown is not only hurting us this season, but is hurting our future with guys like Turnbull, Soro and Connell not getting a sniff.

We are a better side now without him in the team.

Forget 10 mins against a tired st johnstone side.

His importance to that win was greatly overstated at the time anyway.

It's been said many times before. We look a more up tempo side without him.

I love him to bits and he’s an absolute legend, but the time has come. It’s not a knee * reaction tonight, it’s an opinion based on watching every game so far this season.

When he plays, we play too slow and we don’t press the ball as a unit near as well. When we’re on the ball, he’s as good as a man down at times and guilty of standing still when we need movement and people in the middle who want to get on the ball and make things happen.

To an extent I think his struggles have been exemplified by bringing Duffy into the side. No attacking side in modern football can afford to have two players in their spine who can’t effectively pass the ball forwards. We’ve been lucky at times over the last few years in that when Brown has dropped between centre backs, they’ve been able to step forward and break lines. Ajer is superb at it, but Duffy is completely incapable and that highlights that weakness in Brown’s game. We can’t afford to play offensive football effectively two men down.

His attitude and leadership are second to none and I’m sure he’ll still play a huge part this season, but I’d like to see him used far more sporadically. He’s perfect for bringing on with 15 minutes to go when trying to see out a narrow lead, but he’s just not needed for 90 minutes twice a week anymore.

I feel so sorry for him. Honestly do..

Gave him a bit of stick this season and he's upped his game a bit recently but just isn't quite the same..

Seeing his face on the bench or post match when we've lost game's you can see how much it's hurting him. Galling..

Lenny is in danger of ruining \0/ last season in our team by over playing him.

We just have players that are better than him and it's hard to justify keeping him in the team.

Broony can still play a major part in us getting the 10 but it has to be coming on to help close the game out .
The days of him starting every game and playing 90mins should be gone and thats obvious to us all , hopefully lenny now see this as well !!
It used to be he was our enforcer but age catches up with everyone and i cant think of any benefits to us going forward with him starting ?
Make it clear we need him but now in a new role and thats as a squad player helping off the bench when needed .

On the money. The sad reality is that time has caught up with the legs and Brown cannot be an everyday core player this season. For me McGregor should be getting moved into that role with Brown either coming off the bench or making more spot starts where we then hopefully see him able to play at the level he did against Hibernian because he is not playing every game and almost every minute which just is not on any more.

Bring on two strikers and they both score, yet it was somehow brown that was the reason we won.

I think 4-5-1 suits brown more. But I agree, if we are chasing a game we need our most dynamic midfield players on the park.
There will be moments and games where Brown will be needed
