You're right football doesn't always work out like that but all going well i think the intention has been to groom Kennedy for the top job. It's what I heard a wee while back anyway and it's been repeated since, might be *, might not pan out that way but his rise through the coaching set-up tells me it's not that far from the truth. He's very highly thought of.

    He’s no reason to lie?

We had money and a spot on the left wing that window as well with Aiden leaving.

I think it was when Mowbray was in charge. He went to Fulham in 2009

Just checked, you’re right! In fairness he was kinda half committal when he said 2010 and that it was Lenny who turned him down.

He was instrumental in a lot of thing's we did going forward..

Was well spoken about and by the player's themselves at time's..

Surely that doesn't all go completely out the window because he's just left?

Let's hope Strachan can add something to us as we look utter * this season..

All hear say, but Strachan is apparently a big step down. Players unhappy with the level of coaching and in particular the lack of individual coaching - with some seeking their own coaching outside of the club.

And yea, I think the fact Duff was very well liked and respected by the players is a big factor. I think his playing CV alone demanded respect from all of the squad (even these guys who now have notions beyond Celtic). Further enhanced by his attention to detail, technical skills and one to ones. Think Morgan said in his interview the other week that he spent so much time with the winger and Mikey J in particular that they called him his son.

Strachan's CV, probably not so much.

All the player's raved about him..

Academy player's like Dembele. Senior youngster's as well. Griff and co for set pieces and wee pointers..

Wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case with Strachan. Was underwhelmed at the time..

Amazing all these “players not happy” stories come out after defeats

The stuff about players seeking their own individual coaching outside of the club was last week. Do keep up

    No surprise..

The player's raved about Duff and he looked much more hands on during game's giving player's a bit of advice or writing thing's down. Lot of player's mentioned his one to one pointers off the training ground..

No sitting looking like he's just been woke up in a shop doorway pished beside a laptop..

Duff commanded respect for the level he played at and seems he was/is a top coach also..

I mean yea he’s Damien Duff, iconic Irish footballer who’s won premier league titles and worked under managers like Mourinho and Trappattoni and is doubtless a fantastic coach. But, I bet he’s not as good as Gav Strachan at world of Warcraft on the laptop.
