Im not worried so much about losing a game,for me the bigger worry is what happens if we are 2nd and this virus keeps marching along.It's only a matter of time before the game is stopped again....imo.

 

ok get this through my head if you have covid and there isnt a cure for this can you pass this on even after the 14 days some * said on telly that this lasts double the original strain so anyone please.

 

Hard one to predict since we don't know whos really available or fit, also the international break, there being no fans and a lot of our players have never played in one before or don't have much momentum. Apart from Ajer, Brown, Ntcham and McGregor most other players for us haven't played in many or any Barkas, Jullien, Frimpong, Taylor, Laxalt, Turnbull, Elyounoussi, Klimala, Ajeti even Griffiths has only played about 1 hour of football against the huns in over 3 years.

Feels like they have more experience of the game as a team McGregor, Goldson, Tavernier, Barisic, Davis, Jack, Kamara, Arfield, Kent and Morelos pretty much play against us every time and are all available and likely will all start, only one of their centre-halves will be new to the game.

That will probably work in their favour that 10 of their 11 have played in multiple and most of the recent games over the last 2-3 years where as only probably 4 of our starting team played regularly against them. So tempo wise they will know exactly how to treat it where as for us a lot won't know what to expect and need dragged into the game if it is high tempo and the normal style.

Get a good nights rest the players then up and at it tomorrow and we are in their faces from the off. If you believe the hype we would be aswell not turning up for this one but cool and calm the hare doesnt always win the race as i said during the week calm as * HH

Get Eddy starting. No way a pro athlete is losing any fitness or sharpness in 10 days when he wasn’t injured.

 

This would be a wildcard selection/formation for me if we decide not to go 3 at the back.

I actually think that would work well. It would match them in midfield and be pretty similar to how they play, usually when we go 4 at the back against them we plays softer/flair/more attacking players and we get run over because they usually play more solid players who do a defensive job with Kent having a free role. But this is pretty much like for like how they usually play against us with 4 centre midfielders who keep it tight and do a defensive job. Defending wise Turnbull and Ntcham just drop into a flat 4 and Griffiths into the 10.

We also usually have no outball or striker to cross into as we mostly had Edouard who doesnt really battle defenders or get into the box, where as they have had Morelos who is the opposite and does both those things. If we played like this we'd have 2 guys to put crosses into every time we got up the park which they've never seen from us.

 

Rumours Juliens out? Anyone else heard this?

Interesting. Are you suggesting we sit off them a little bit and invite them onto us to hit on the counter? Either way no question the result is what matters most. But I do have to say I was very disappointed with our level of performances against them last season despite the fact we won 2 of the 3 games.

 

Great news on Ajeti. I suspect Edouard likely to be on the bench to start given he was unable to be part of our preparations for the game.
