Past worrying about who starts or what position they’ll be in... and big going to guess.

Just as long as they know the importance of this game ... and absolutely smash the filthy scum.

Getting a sudden fear that we won't see this lad (Diego) till mid November with the old aged "not match sharp" excuse.

He may not have played a part this season for Milan, but I'd still expect that he has been working and training like the rest of professional football that's been going for the past month now?
11 days till the Hun game, he isn't going abroad, I'd expect some bounce games at lennoxtown between ourselves and hard work to bring him sharply up to speed.

Starting the lad against the Huns should be a target we aim for.

Otherwise we knowingly go in to that game with a weak position that we blatantly know they will target. And we can't afford to double up on that position and lose out shape.

Swap out taylor for diego and that 100% should be our team going forward.

If we get that excuse then I expect us to walk over Milan in the Europa League due to our superior fitness then?

Obviously a club like Milan will be fitter or at at least on par with us.

Also as for settling in as well I don’t want to hear that. He’s brought in for his talent alone. He doesn’t speak English and there’s no other Spanish speakers at the club.

Let him do his talking with his feet.

Yeah I'll not be buying it either.
It's a loan deal for 7 months, he needs to be ready to go now and not in a month's time.

I expect he has done pre season and fitness should be generally fine.

I expect him to be able to walk in to that side as much as we would expect Julien or ajeti to do so in 11 days after being out injured.

If anything laxalt more so since he isn't shrugging off an injury.

Interesting to hear Lennon declare that Laxalt is “fit and available for our upcoming games” before he’s actually seen him train.

Laxalt’s only football this season was a combined 155 minutes over 4 preseason games (90’, 45’, 13’ and 7’) between the second and twelfth of September. However Milan are very highly regarded in terms of their sports science and fitness agendas and Laxalt appears to be a pretty natural athlete, so hopefully he is ready to go.

As I said in another thread, it would be a huge bonus (not just for Laxalt, but the likes of Griff, Rogic and Jullien too) if we could arrange a friendly over the next week in order to get more match sharpness.

Griffiths has only had 15 mins of football and he looked fine.

As long as hes fit and trained he should be ok. I'd still doubt he plays against the Huns though.

Playing the last 15 minutes as a striker against a tired St Johnstone side and starting a derby game as a wing back in a game are entirely different propositions physically though.

It would be an absolute baptism of fire for him, but I wouldn’t bet against him being included, at least off the bench. The 5 sub rule definitely helps from that perspective. Even starting him and knowing he’ll only last 60 minutes is far less of a risk with the extra subs.

Reading between the lines of what Lennon said for sure he will at least be on the bench. But I would not be surprised at all if he starts and plays say 60 minutes odd.

I wasnt meaning the Hun game in particular.

Was more meaning that he will definitely be able to play a part in the upcoming run. As I said there, I doubt he will be thrown in against them.

If Edouard can’t play or start the game, I hope we go with two up top as that’s what the rest of our strikers are suited to.

No issue with Griffiths and Klimala starting up top together. Both of them with points to prove and I think they’d work their socks off. Ajeti would be first pick but unsure if he will be fit enough.

If Eddy Can play, I'd play a back 3 with 2 up top, if not, I'd go to a back 4 with 1 up top.

    So either this..

    GK - Barkas

    RB - Frimpong
    CB - Duffy
    CB - Jullien
    LB - Laxalt

    CM - Brown
    CM - Mcgregor

    RW - Christie
    AM - Ntcham
    LW - Elyounoussi

    CF - Griffiths

(think Ajeti needs to play with a partner as he does * all running)

Or this (which would be my preference, our bench would be class as well)

    GK - Barkas

    CB - Ajer
    CB - Duffy
    CB - Jullien

    CM - Mcgregor
    CM - Brown

    RW - Frimpong
    AM - Christie
    LW - Laxalt

    CF - Eduoard
    CF - Ajeti

With Eddy and Ajeti possibly out I'd go with
    Barkas
    Elhamed Duffy Ajer Taylor
    Brown MacGregor
    Frimpong Christie Elyounoussi
    Griffiths
Griffiths I'd imagine would only be able to donate solid 60 mins or so and I'd bring on Klimala fornthe last half hour to run their back line ragged.
If Ajeti makes it I'd go 352
    Barkas
    Elhamed Duffy Ajer
    Frimpong Brown Diego
    Christie MacGregor
    Ajeti Griffiths

    Had Covid for 2 months?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Griff, Ajeti, Klimala and Moi are all used as strikers at some point during this match.

When was the last time we played this mob without missing Key players.

Bet yi Lennon plays Christie up front.
