If he's actually been injured and still starting that's shocking from the management, especially when we have a player like Frimpong ready and waiting.

It was in the Celtic star Lennon said he was been playing for a while with ankle bruising. But to me has hasn't looked at his fastest for a while especially in the preseason games he looked very far off the pace

If it's true and he has been carrying a knock, and being picked on the form he's been on upto now, just reinforces the favourites/undroppables theory for a certain few players.

I agree if true he's not been playing Frimpong who is fit and productive over an injured Forrest

In the context of the game last night it wasn't a bad thing he got injured..

He wasn't influencing the game at all and Frimpong made such an impact with his MOTM performance.

Relying on Lenny to hook him could have cost us the game.

Hope it's nothing serious as he's been one our most important players. Would never wish injury on any player, never mind one of our own.

However, it was easy to recognise it could be a good thing for us on the night and I make no apology for stating that, as he was so very poor.

Hope he gets back fit and fully firing soon.

Any injuries aside, it's true what many have already said, he hasn't looked the same player that he was under the rat.

I'm a huge Forrest fan but Frimpong is now ahead for RWB if using the 3-5-2. That formation worked when Griffiths was available last though.

James Forrest is struggling to make Scotland’s Euro play-off showdown with Israel – and facing a major fight to be fit for next month’s crucial Old Firm clash.

The Celtic star rattled his ankle in Riga on Thursday night and Parkhead boss Neil Lennon is sweating on the results of a scan to see if there is any long-term damage.

But the Hoops gaffer has major doubts the wide man will be back for the nation’s Euros shoot-out with Israel next month and is in a race to make it for the Glasgow derby on October 17.

Do I think he’ll struggle to make the Scotland game? Yes, I do.

Hopefully, not serious, although I would like to see Frimprong start ahead of him, he does give us an option from the bench. Also, we should be using his "injury" to get him off the Scotland squad.

CELTIC have suffered a blow with James Forrest out until November with an ankle injury.

The Hoops winger limped off during his side's 1-0 win over Riga in Europa League qualifying last month

He hasn't featured since and was left out of Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 play-off against Israel and Nations League matches against

And Neil Lennon faces the prospect of being without the 29-year-old for four to six weeks after a scan revealed a minor stress fracture in his ankle.

    Wish him a speedy recovery

Hopefully he comes back at his best

Elhamed to cover at right back for Frimpong is maybe the best bet

May end up seeing Ajer Getting played there

Not much of a miss going by performances this season. Frimpong is indubitably first choice, hopefully this will give James a wee kick up the *.

Absolutely mental the stick he gets, so important for us, won’t realise what we have till we need to buy a new winger every couple years cycling thru duds.

100% Seems an easy guy to dislike for many fans. Has been a regular for every manager he has played under, scores goals, creates them and takes us up the park to take the pressure off the team.

We should have brought in another wide player. This is a big blow for us.
