Good on her bud.. I don’t have all the gadgets as it’s never been something I’ve took an interest in tbh but I was amazed last night was class first I’ve actually seen it so clear!.. would like to hear from someone who is clued up on the subject though as recently a lot of stuff up there has been really clear to the eye I wonder what the reason for this is , it’s quite something.

I was out walking today in the heavy rain , but I still spotted a Buzzard and a Red Squirrel . A couple of weeks back , I was at Tentsmuir Point and managed to get a photo of a group of Seals . They were on a sandbank . There are signs telling you not to get too close to them as youngsters can be abandoned by their mothers .

Saw more wild life in the last 2 days than i have saw in weeks , excluding bees , wasps, butterflys.
A grey squirrel ( a tree rat )in the graveyard, a pheasant standing at the side of the road , a few young cormorants and a good few foxes wandering around my place of work, they are coming up very close to cars in the car park. The foxes that is.

I had a good long walk early on Saturday morning around Doony Rock forest trail, it was very quiet deep in the woodland, i could hear plenty of small birds high up in the canopy but they were very hard to spot, i was heading back to the car park when i saw a pair of birds flittering around the trees, they were very quick and hard to focus on but one settled for a second and i managed to get my first ever sighting / photo of a woodpecker, a minute later a wee Red Squirrel scampered up a tree beside me, the first picture is lough Gill on sat morning before the storm.

Very quiet on the local Beach this morning and pretty wet. 4 Rock Pipits were very active and 7 Turnstone were also equally active.I Great Crested Grebe has returned to the coast still mostly in summer plumage.
2 female Grey Seals seemed to show interest in a Bull Grey Seal in his prime but did not make it obvious,I think they pretending they did not notice him!!:56:

I had a walk around Sligo bay at Drumcliffe this afternoon, and found the Brent Geese are back for the winter, there seemed to be hundreds there grazing and chattering away, there was also a few Egrets there but i find it hard to get a decent shot as they're easily spooked, I left the bay and went down to the docks for a look and that's where i saw the King fisher.

Thanks Sioux, I met a fella on Saturday who seems to be a serious twitcher and he told me there was a pair along the river in Drumcliffe, that's why i went there today but got no sighting, it was when i left and went to the docks i saw it, it was totally unexpected.
