He got rinsed twice in the first half, when he seemed to be in control of the situation, not sure what he was trying to do on both occasions but he should have attacked the ball and found row Z.

Only watched the highlights will watch the match when I'm home tonight. That push by nesbit on him that'll teach Duffy there's about the reffing standards up here, should have been a free out. He'll learn that refs won't give our defenders a thing in general especially v Huns

Think he is just getting up to speed been a while since he's played don't think he played at all after the lockdown. Remember this is a CB who has won motm v Tottenham Man United Arsenal. He was Brighton POTY!!

He will be great for us. Today was just a bad day at office.

His last game with Brighton was in January. He looked off the pace with Ireland too but with that kind of time lapsed between games it's always going to take a good few games for him to get back up tp speed. Like you said, I wouldn't worry. He's loved by Irish fans and Brighton fans for a reason.

I think when it comes to backs to the wall stuff he will excel, so I'm not surprised to hear that. We rarely come up against that domestically tho. Early days and I like his prowess in the air but the jury is still out for me. I didn't have anything to go on before he signed other than people raving about him. I've been a little underwhelmed but it's early days.

Think he’s still getting up to speed and will come good, not that he’s been bad so far.

I would keep playing him just now, try and get some continuity in our backline. We want him for and firing for the Sevco game as well.

Having said that there’s games where I don’t think he’s necessarily the best choice, based on what I’ve seen so far. Domestic games where the opposition lack a big centre forward or aren’t going direct, I can definitely see the case for him dropping out, particularly if we’re playing a flat back 4.

Think we have to remember he's used to playing for teams that defend deep. It'll take time for him to adjust to our high defensive line.

For me if he sticks to what he was signed for in attaching the ball, in the air and defending aggressively he will be exactly what we need. The fact he is experienced and can organise will also help.

Ajer, Julien, Bitton, Elhamed are all comfortable on the ball and with the exception of Julien have decent pace. That is more than enough to cover for any deficiencies in Duffy’s game.

Given the money we spend we are not going to get the complete defender who can do a bit of everything.

Everyone we have had at CB apart from VVD had faults, Ajer’s positional faults, Julien struggling with physical tactics, Bitton poor in the air, Boyata hopeless with ball at his feet and concentration, Jozo lack of concentration and injuries, Erik S was slow and struggled in the air at times due to being quite short, Ambrose physical side and concentration issues. Kelvin Wilson, physical side wasn’t great in the air.

Thought he was much better today made several interceptions. Didn't give away many fouls think he's getting used to Scottish reffing standards! Keep possession made a few good forward passes.

Thought he tried his best to step up and make something happen. His long passes aren't the best but the midfield was anonymous so he was trying to get something going which I respect.

Battling to get his head on every corner too. Need to see this attitude from a lot more players...

Agree with this. He's doing what we bought him to do. He adds a bit of strength to the side but not expecting him to thread too many passes through.

He's actually a good contrast to Ajer.

Another cleansheet with him with us though. Rode our luck a bit with the post getting hit but really think he’s had a major influence on Ajer and it’s just frustrating that we haven’t had Jullien fit at the same time

I have a few concerns with him but I cant say that I didnt have them before he signed.

It's his ability on the ball.and pace on the turn that worry me.

    But hes made a difference.
