If we’d lost last night then went on to sell a player this place would be in meltdown, regardless of what business we’ve done so far, tbf.

 

I'm filing this as nonsense. If we hadn't made Europe then you lose out on that revenue so obviously you may need a sale to balance that out. So far this season we've spent 5 on Ajeti, 4.5 on Barkas, 3 on Turnbull, then you have whatever the loan the fee would be for Duffy and you finally need to add in the wages for these players. That's well over 10 million and we've spent that without a big sale like the seasons before had. Some people have such an automatic hatred for boards (This is seen across most teams) that they will be angry unless you are rolling out the transfers like you're PSG. Last season we had a spell of having to play Morgan up top, well we spent money and bought a striker. We lost a centre back, we brought Duffy in, which everyone creamed themselves over. We lost our keeper, we spent the money on a keeper. It's only in this window that we lost our other lwb/lb because of an unforeseen act he did so obviously that may take longer to get in than the rest. The board have done nothing wrong so far this season.

We dont allow new signings a decent run of games as it is. Your lucky if 1 out of 4 signings get consequtive games to bed in and then allowed to show what they can do. Especially in their natural positions. We sign international players who dont get a sniff as well as hoovering up young talent from the uk who also wont get a look in. We have more players than the current managers ability to handle. Hence the * performances we have seen. Thats the true weakness. Wouldnt take a football genius to go into celtic and freshen things up. Could dominate this league without spending a penny. Would rather see a defense coach walk through the door at the minute. Agreed. Why couldn’t they just for once spend £10m on a proven striker and proven goalkeeper. We should also get a premier league winger and dominant centre half in on loan and sign the best talent from Scotland. We are Celtic and it’s unacceptable that our board can’t see what needs to happen.

 

We don’t need to spend £10m on a striker we have Eddy & Ajeti and options on the bench ..Why do we need to sign a premier league winger?... unless the sarcasm is out in force.

In any other season definitely and I would be fine with it to balance things out.

Feel like with how important this season is that it’s a risk we could avoid taking if we really wanted to.

Worst case we just sell two players next summer, not like it’s now or never.

No issues with transfers this window, I would like a new left back I think we should have got Hickey i really rated him.

 

If we don't win 10IAR, i think that this seasons AGM will be the last one that Lawwell will be at (if there is one due to Covid-19)and neither will Lennon.

 

board are obssessed with 10 in a row. its fair to say the board likely think football ends in May theres that much of a lack of forward planning beyond next year.
Keeping ajer and ntcham for another year and leaving them with only a year left on their contracts is something the board wouldn't entertain in any other season. especially after * up with boyata leaving on a free.

 

The boards job as directors is to look after the interests of the shareholders. If not they would be failing in their fiduciary duty.

Most fans gripe is not the amount of money we spend as a club but the actual recruitment process and the long drawn out time frame we take every year.

A LWB has been an issue in terms of quality since KT was sold and it's still an issue with the window about to close.

We have bought some dross and nobody ever seems to be held accountable.

CL qualifiers.. two things were needed and are needed for the future. Early recruitment..not waiting until we are knocked out. And REALIGNMENT of incentives for CL group stage qualification. The players should be on a very high bonus. Why not put 5 million up for grabs as the qualification would easily cover that fee.

The board have made finances available in recent years BUT it needs to be sooner and the fans should be informed about who is calling the shots in these transfers.

Longstanding issues and only time I saw a noticeable difference was Brendan's first season.
