Not been his biggest fan this year got to admit But the criticism he receives is way over the top imo. I actually think he’s done pretty well the last few games so don’t understand why so many of us have wrote him off already? Could it be due to the fact who he is replacing perhaps? Who knows but he ain’t as bad as folk have made him out to be. He’s been decent hopefully he only improves with us.

I miss him as much as the next guy, but it's not fair on Greg to compare him to a player like
    Jonny Hayes.

No one can fault his effort and to be fair to the boy he has some engine, he's just not a left wing back bcoz he doesn't have the trickery or pace to beat people. In a back 4 I'd be happy for him to play left back and be confident he'd be a steady defender. He just doesn't suit our system.

this in a nutshell. hes actually a very good left back. he just isn't very good at attacking which is what we are all judging him on. As 90% of our games are against 10 men behind the ball, its understandable. Saying that, i think he's got a decent cross on him. When you weigh all that up, he's actually a more than decent player so the criticism is very unjust. We just wanted another Tierney and this is the crux of the problem.

He puts in some good crosses in the final third. Be interesting to see how many assists he has so far.

If the BBC site is anything to go by, and I have no idea how accurate it is, he has 3, which is our second top behind Christie.

Interstingly Klimala has a better goals per minute ratio than Eddy according to that as well. Stats, eh?

he is absolute dug meat going forward. we need better down the left so teams aren't as comfortable double or triple marking forrest or frimpong. it would change how teams have to approach us entirely.

    'Taylor...checks his run'

Would be deid from alcohol poisoning if you downed a shot every time that was said on Celtic TV.

Was very solid defensively last night against a pact winger and nullified him.

Again the issue was going forward checked back constantly and just allows wingers/fullbacks to show him inside even allows them to not double up leaving a spare man.

Doesn’t give the right balance offensively by being able to go right or left and really stretch teams in wide areas thereby opening up space in the middle.

Our coaching team should be embarrassed that they don't adjust our tactics down that side when Taylor is playing.

I feel sorry for him. He's a good defender, decent cross and good passer. We should be working our possession so he can cross from deep into an overloaded box. Instead we try and get him to beat a man to the byline.

    1 goal 4 assists.

A better statistical return than Jeremie on the other side :fear:

Im not overly surprised, Eddy hasnt really got going so far this season and he needs to up it.

Whilst stats only tell so much, the best players do tend to be at the top of them. Shows how much eddy hasnt been at it, yet.

Thought he played well second half.

Two things that spring to mind are the cross he put in for Eddie that looked a cracker and also him busting a gut to support in a 2v2 then passing it back to their keeper pretty much :giggle1:

He’ll always give you 100% but we should definitely be looking to get someone in that’s more suited to the LWB role as first choice. He’s a decent backup option to have though.

he is on the ball more than any of our other players in the opposition half and we are vastly superior to most teams we play.
Quite right he gets some assists from his continuous cutbacks when teams set up to force the ball to him at all times

He is absolutely good enough for us. Probably not as a LWB and being the only option. That doesn’t mean he’s not good enough to earn a place though.

He’s on the ball more than any other player? Fair play then, I love players that are always in space to take a pass.

i really want to see where ye got that stat though? Cos a think its probably a load of *.
