I’m not talking about super teams though. It’s all relative and the Celtics basically coined the phrase “The Big 3” when they brought in Allen and Garnett. Two hall of famers. At the time it shook up the league when only 6 different teams had won the Championship since their last win in 1986, 22 years prior. They built a team to take down the dominance of LA and San Antonio and did it in their first season together. Doesn’t mean much saying they are one of the worst teams to win it because not that many different teams have even won it.

The Heat took it to another level, obviously. I’d say that’s the start of players planning and creating moves for themselves. Wade, James and Bosh were already friends and if they had it their way, CP3 would of been there too.

Then GS take the * by winning and adding one of the best players in the league to that winning formula because they lost to the Cavs.

It’s all relative and thats where we are now.

The Raptors were a breath of fresh air, so were the Cavs. The Heat would be that this year.

To me there isn’t a Super Team at the moment, just a lot of strong duos.

Kyrie & Durant. George & Leonard. Klay & Steph. Russ & Harden. Giannis & Middleton. Tatum & Walker. Jokic & Murray. Towns & Russell. Embiid & Simmons. Ayton & Booker. Mitchell & Gobert.

Unfortunately no duo is more dominant than LeBron and Davis. But I think the NBA is in the best place competitively than it’s been in a long time. Next summer could * everything though, who knows what we see.

He’s also said it’s the first time he’s ever felt like he can trust someone else with a big shot. Firing all sorts of shots off today.

Got to try and stay relevant somehow while the Finals are going on.

Kyrie is a great player to watch, but he’s completely incapable of leading a successful team. A complete failure in Cleveland before LeBron’s return and a failed experiment in Boston too.

    Adebayo out.

This will be a murder tonight. AD will go for 50.

I was literally just thinking 50 for AD.

I’m gonna miss it and probably for the best.

Any chance the heat had of winning this series surely has to be gone now, Bam out tonight and Dragic out for the series.

Don't really fancy staying up to watch this onslaught tonight, only way AD doesn't go for 40+ is if they're up massive and he sits in the 4th quarter

LeBron is in absolute cruise control here. Pulling the strings and barely breaking a sweat.

The Heat are persisting with the zone and trying to stop LBJ and AD beating them inside, but in doing so giving up a record number of three point shots. They gave up 65 first half points in game one and 68 so far tonight though and that’s just not going to cut it in the Finals.

Fair play to the Heat on managing to keep hold of the Lakers’ coattails and not let this one completely get away from them so far, but I just don’t see them getting close unless LA get seriously complacent.

AD up to 14/15 tonight, ridiculous. The Heat’s reverse zone is absolutely killing them though. It might be nigh on impossible to completely stop him, but at least put a body on him ffs.

33 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, a block, a steal and not a single turnover. Long live the king :77:

I see the Heat played with an 8 man rotation last night. I’m not counting Hill’s 43 seconds and DJJ’s 14 seconds. Even Leonard only played 9 mins. They are gonna be burst. Jimmy played 44:44 ffs.
