Ajer, Christie, Ntcham and Edouard are the four main first team players I've seen linked with a move away this window. I just want to gauge opinion on three questions.

Do you think we'll definitely sell at least one first team player before the window shuts?

Who do you think is most likely to leave?

Which of those four do you definitely not want to leave?

Out of them I personally would sell Ajer, but out of necessity it would be Ntcham or Christie due to having plenty of cover in their positions.

I'd sell Ntcham out of the 4. We would still have Brown, McGregor, Turnbull, Christie, Moi and Rogic this season. If Ajer was to go we would need to buy a player I would rather spend on a lb/lwb.

I'd sell ntcham and or ajer only if the fee is right that's +15mill for ntcham and +20 for ajer. We wouldn't need a replacement for ntcham but if ajer went it would leave us * all time to bring in another CB. Christie frustrates the * out of me at times but he is involved in the vast majority of our attacking play and losing him this late in the window, in this season would be a needless gamble, especially when Christie is unlikely to command as high a fee as others on the list

I like all our midfielders, but maybe one has to go to ensure squad harmony..

    Torn between who.

Agree with this but as you say it's awkward. Ajer would be my choice but complicated by lack of cover back there. My opinion on Ntcham has changed in the last year and if absolutely pushed on a midfielder it would have to be Christie. Can't believe i'm actually saying this.

Midfield is the one place we could afford to lose a body.

It depends what formation we actually want to play.

If we legit want to play 352 then the midfield three can be from:
Brown, McGregor, Christie, Turnbull, soro, connell.

Meaning ntcham and rogic could be sacrificed for sales with Ely being the option as a number ten with Christie if we did resort to a one up top at some stage.

It's not the strongest midfield of the last few years, but I'd be confident with that if all players get a fair shot at making positions their own.

The backline needs more players added to it, no one can leave there yet.

Same for strikers if we intend to play 2 up top, we need the four we have and not one less.

Rogic and ntcham could fetch £15-20million between them, that would cover us for Covid related issues and we suck it up regarding cl exit.

So does anyone think we definitely will sell at least one first team player?

One one hand I think the CL exit and not having fans at games makes it more likely that we will sell, but on the other hand the board know how important this season is. Ideally I don't want us to sell anyone, I'm just wondering if people think we will.

Only player out the 4 who isn't a first teamer imo just down to consistency rather than ability

Had we gotten 4 mill for Rogic from the Qatar club that would have been great business. Hes so far down the pecking order it pointless keeping him.
Of the 4 you list, Ntcham then Ajer.
If we got 12 for Ntcham I'd take it. Both Turnbull & Sorro have looked decent, plenty of midfield options for us.

Ntcham is 24 and can't get into our team consistently. I don't know where people are getting 15m from, we'll be lucky to get half of that.

I can see Rogic and Ntcham leaving. If a mad bid comes in for Eddy, there's no much the club can do but accept. I reckon christie is here till next summer. hope to see a couple more youngsters loaned out, and i really hope we have a "plate spinning" if its worst case scenario with Eddy.

Ntcham. Guy thinks he's the mutt's nuts and is average. Gives the ball away with stupid square passes all the time and makes half-arsed efforts to track back. Highly overrated.

Not sure any of them will go tbh. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of serious interest in them.

If we had to sell one, it’d probably be Ntcham for me. If not, then Christie.

We sold Armstrong for £7m two years ago, who played roughly the same amount of time as Ntcham gets..

For me Ntcham has more in his locker than Armstrong and prices have went through the roof in the last few years, £12m + isn’t unreasonable.

Who I think will go: Eddie & Ntcham

They're the 2 best in terms of quality but Ajer and Christie are doing more for the team at his point.

I'm not keen on selling any of them this late in the window but if a big big comes in and the player(s) push for the move then our hand might be forced.

Midfield is probably the area we have most cover so Ntcham or Christie could go and the squad might be able to cope (although it would still be a huge gamble to go as we are)

If Ajer or Eddie go then they need replaced, no doubt about it.

Think you might not be far off, very few clubs are keen to spend money in current climate.
