I don’t think he’s actually all that slow, he just isn’t got at using it on the ball. Getting back defensively it’s quite good as it is on the overlap. On the ball he slows right down though.

He's not mobile enough to be a wing back. We're finding it hard to break down teams because of a lack of movement and positive attacking play, and he's one of the main culprits. A passenger in the side.

If he starts against Hibs, Boyle is going to rip him apart it's not even funny.

Not one of the starting XI that deserves stick tonight imo.

He wasn't bad tonight, but he's not a LWB, it's been obvious for a while now.

He could maybe, maybe do a job as a LB, where he played for Killie, and i'll give him credit that his postioning at times when attacking is actually decent, but he is very, very slow and can't beat a man to save himself, asking him to play LWB, with our CDM nowhere near mobile enough to cover for him, almost always leaves us with a gaping hole on the left.

I'm happy enough for him to be our back-up this year, but he is nowhere near good enough to start, give Connell some gametime or actually sign a proper LWB.

It's not the boys fault, anyone in Scotland would jump at the chance to play for Celtic, he's just not good enough to play for us.

Doesn’t deserve to be singled out for tonight’s performance the way he appears to be.

I’m not his biggest fan at all, but he’s a decent defender who quite frankly is being totally misused and hung out to dry by his manager. He’s never a wing back, especially not in an offensively minded side, but that’s not the role he was signed to play.

Lennon needs to shelf the 3-5-2, at least until we have a left sided player capable of playing it. Even going into Sunday, Boyle could cause us real issues with Taylor as a wing back.

Offensively having Taylor at LWB is making us far too predictable and allows teams to defend narrow and shift across as there’s no real threat on that side. Time after time we isolate him one v one with a defender, but he inevitably ends up playing the ball backwards when a more well suited player would be driving past his man and causing issues. Our system is just making us so easy to defend at the moment (and it’s * murder to watch too!).

I had to chuckle when Stewart said about Taylor going at his full back or getting someone on who could..

He's.not a good defender at all, he's * at. Lwb and he's * at LB.

Put.it.this way if he had the pace of Davies at Bayern, he'd still be *.

Never saw what he did to. Merit a move to us, never impressed me. For Killie or Scotland.

Their best chance second half was him losing the ball in their half, then struggling to get back. He was then passed around so easily and then it was scrambling and blocking like * in the box..

    Wasn't the only time either..

His passing was decent to be fair but you can read it a mile off. He does a wee disguise like he's gonna whip it in and then cuts it inside/back the way..

I majorly disagree with that there. What do you think he’s bad at doing defensively?

The boy is lacking alot of confidence right now.
Everytime the ball goes to him it just comes back or gets blasted into someones shins.

he gets knocked off the ball too easily. Can be a bit too much of a lightweight.

I can see that, I think he usually makes sure he’s not in the position that he needs to outmuscle attackers though but definitely something he could improve on. Frimpong shows how to use his strength better defensively than Taylor does, and he’s definitely not a big guy.

That would mean not playing him wing back I think mate, left back I don’t think he’d have as many complaints about him.

Shock horror come into his thread and he's getting a hard time. Nowhere near the worst tonight, there's plenty who should be on the receiving end of criticism.
