All though his record so far isn’t great I think he’ll be a good keeper.

Just caught up with Sportscene. Blameless for both goals, can't believe he is being questioned about that 2nd especially.

From what I've seen of him so far, only thing I want is more commanding from him, he looks quiet as a mouse and I would prefer him to be far more vocal. Expect that to come soon though.

Harsh to blame him for the second, powerfull and swerving shot, not many keepers are getting to that, although he does look nervous at times.

He's shown he can make good saves and defensively we aren't helping him, I hope and think he will come good but I think he needs to settle and having a regular back 3 will help

Any keeper that concedes from that distance will be questioned.. cracker of a goal and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say fair play..

Don’t think many are blaming him for it.

Some feel he could have saved it as it wasn’t right in the corner.

Barkas is the least of our worries currently.

The left hand side and how easy we are to play through in midfield is far more of a worry and is why Barkas has been as busy as he has!

The big man’s going to develop into a very good keeper — he’s clearly got talent. His nerves looked shattered against that Hungarian mob, especially when using his feet for short passes out. He’s had big shoes to fill (literally), it’s a historical season and he’s had to adapt and acclimatise to a different country and culture, and, more importantly, to a different style of play from what he was used to. He’ll come good, imo. As others have indicated, the ease with which teams have got in behind us is the problem, not Barkas.

My only quibble about Barkas is that he’s quite a strange looking chappie. Looks like he’s been put together in someone’s basement!

Might have something to do with the defence in front of him. :42:

    Massively so.
He's still young and settling to the side, that defence is of no help to a new keeper. But that aside, he has made some cracking saves already and I think so far has shown enough to warrant us signing him. Is he worth the reported £5million? Time will tell, but he has done enough so far for me to think he's been worth at least signing in the first place (worth his price is another question).

I think his distribution is very good. Feel he is a modern keeper his good both feet passing is accurate and he is composed

Thought he was really good. Not much to do really. But dealt with cross balls and looks really assured.

I still feel like he's barely had a save to make apart from that one game he made about 6 saves against Livingston or St Mirren or somecunt.

I think most games we've played, there hasn't been a lot of do.
Most of the time we look rank rotten because we do * all with a lot of possession, which means the keeper does very little.

But when called upon, he has shown he does well.

Think a few of the goals he has conceded have been playing on people's mind, but at least two of them are not the keeper fault at all, wouldn't blame anyone for conceding ones like the long range diagonal effort against the Hungarians.
Or conceding a penalty, not gonna judge him on this.

He's had some great saves so far and tonight convinced me more so that he has managed to get the confidence of the backline, more so as it seems to be settling a little more and more.
He's coming for crosses, distribution is good and communication is reasonable.

For me, a good purchase, can't see him failing here.
    Still to be wowed though.

The more games he plays the more confident he will be, would help if he had a settled defence in front of him.
