MOTM last night easily. Made the 2 goals and created other opportunities as in the two Edouard chances. Great work-rate as always. Long passing was off but never hides in a match. Must be frustrating to play against.

    Was he actually awarded MOTM?

Celtic’s official site gave it to Christie. That’s all I’ve seen.

He’s full of confidence, yes not everything he try’s comes off but at least he tries to create and be positive, unlike a few recently

A great young talent and a breath of fresh air. A very productive player; has it all, imo. He, along with Eddy, is our best player and a lynchpin.

    I wanna be Edouard
I get the frustration people have with him. However, atm he seems to be the only one willing to make things happen. Some will argue last night he was poor or ok yet he had two assists and could’ve had more had Ed score his 1v1 and also won the pen, again which we should’ve dispatched.
If you’re in the camp that he should be dropped, you’re mental. Where would our drive come from? Where would any of our creativity come from? Yes he will lose the ball, overplay at times, over hit passes/set pieces BUT he will produce. His stats do not lie. And atm he is the only one in the midfield who is producing consistently.
I agree with others above that the rest of the midfield need to step up.
I feel turnbull would be ideal for this but Lenny is * me off by leaving the “undroppable” brown in. Turnbull has started well for Motherwell playing every game yet he signs for us and is becoming a bench warmer. Sad.

Tries too much to be the main man but with many players below par right now, it's not such a bad thing.

I find him greedy and wasteful a lot of the time but he is a driving force in a team still trying to find their rhythm.

There is a lot of burden on him with an aging Brown, a subdued Calmac, an anonymous Forrest, a LWB who can't beat a man and an off form Eddy as his supporting cast. Hopefully as the team finds some form, we'll start to see him back at his best.

Would definitely like to see how a McGregor - Christie - Turnbull midfield 3 would look.

Ajer for me by a distance, I actually thought he was pretty poor.

General play was off, terrific cross for Forrest, decent corner. Lost for the goal and actually was an og by him.

    Christie isn't the issue.

Being with the Scotland squad hasn’t helped him at all, in fact it’s unsettled him further. Stuart Armstrong has told him he got 3 times his wages plus bonuses for signing for Southampton, he can go out without the fear of being verbally abused by the scum etc etc and is absolutely loving life down south. His dad has also said this is his last big contract opportunity, don’t be surprised if he moves on.

Another two assists and still getting criticism from certain factions of the support.

last night was yet another example of Christie being the key when others simply havnt stepped up. The question that id put to people is, where would we be without him in these away games?

yes sometimes he blazes a free kick over or fails to beat the first man from a corner, but these same people dont give him the praise when he gets it right.

now some people coming out with ideas that he wants away, yet his attitude and work rate doesnt let up. A few others could do with taking from his example.

he does seem to be overplaying but im starting to agree with others hes the only one in the team that is giving more than some of his parts, hes hit and miss at times but his energy and the chances he creates, the assists and goals tell you how important a player he is and again like others have said if the others in the team were producing maybe he wouldnt be having to do it all himself, wish hed have taken that penalty last night for example

1000%. We wouldn’t have scored last night if he wasn’t on the pitch.

In terms of team shape (and our lack of ability to hit corners and set pieces) I’d argue he is the exact issue personally.

2 assists and a pen won though, it’s difficult to slate him.

For me he offers so much, but isn't a 10..

Broonie isn't offering anything in the midfield, he's the issue at the moment.
