    Are they pronouncing it like the Microsoft Office programme, with a slight pause, i.e. 'XL', or like the verb 'to excel'? I assume it's the former. :giggle1:

    Like the verb, parents are Nigerian and I think their other children are also named after virtues.

    It's her brothers Powerpoint and Word I really feel sorry for...

    I used to go out with a girl who said her name was De-bo-ra pronounced deeeebora.

    Her name was Debra.

    Otter? Excel? *.

    I'd rather be called Tiger, Doom, Half-Life or Max Payne.

    If I was registrar there would be a lot more children up for adoption.

    If any of those illiterate thick * parents came into my office with any of that * they’d be shot instantly.

    * arseholes.

    Then when the Sevconians came in with Kyle and Fraser and all that * harsh “thou shalt not” Scottish Presby *, they’d be told to * right off. The deep dark eye socketed cod faced pig ugly harsh sounding *.

    I actually don’t mind a few of the names mentioned in this thread :52:

    Khaleesi would be a really nice name if t wasn’t a cheap pop-culture reference.

    I like unusual names overall though.

    Sounds like parody but there was genuinely a guy 2 years above me at school called Paul Ennis

    The surname is fairly common but surely if you had it you would pick one of the 1000000 names out there that dont start with a P for your wain
