    Well, his intellectual contributions to modern left-wing thought are far more important than a couple of slogans; but if you have heard of "the 99%" and "bullshit jobs", then he has touched your life. He was one of a handful of people that came up with the former during Occupy and the latter is his theory. He's also well known for his most important book, 'Debt'.

    I am very positively surprised to see a homage to him in the Celtic forum. I recommend anyone who doesn't know him to read this short summary of the "Bullshit Jobs" theory. It is not academic babbling but an explanation to society's problems in a way we understand and care about
