[Matchday] Ross County vs Celtic Saturday 12th September - 3PM - On Ross County TV

Not as good as I would have hoped, but we're 2 up at halftime and we are using the system we should be. Ross County have played well so credit to them, our midfield should be better and more controlling but have been a bit lax, same with some of the defense. Barkas looking good with some cracking saves and good work on claiming balls for the most part.

I'd like to see at least 1 midfield sub at the break ideally Turnbull on for Brown or ntcham, and I reckon Ajeti will be off about 60 min for klimala or Ely, more likely ely.

Get youth on later if we are still on top and Taylor will get on for forrest or from pong about 80min in

Brown Ntcham and McGregor doesnt work either take Brown or Ntcham off for Christie

 

i think brown and mcgregor need rotated out a bit, they seem jaded and complacent, just doing enough and no more.

 

Ntcham has settled, Barkas' save will do him the world of good, 2 goals from 2 strikers.

But the mid is a * shambles, and Forrest is doing my * in.

Time to act like a championship manager Lennon, and not daddy on the touchline on a Saturday afternoon kick about fer the kids.

Think we've looked ropey at the back and a little nervous until the second goal went in. Would like to see brown come off for Turnbull to give the guy a chance to show what he's got.

BTW loved how Duffy went flying into that aerial challenge and smashed the county player about 5 yards forward

 

I'll put it down to a relatively new formation, new players etc. 2 up at HT not too shabby all things considered.

Midfield still giving me the fear at times though. Ross County just running through us at times.

Get a 3rd early in the second half then let's see what Turnbull can offer.

Tuned in from 22 minutes and tbh Ross C have moved the ball far better than us, maybe the 2 goals have caused us to ease up and slack off.

Brown getting it a bt in the neck but for me Ntcham and Mcgregor been absolute mince, McGregor can't put his foot on the ball and Ntcham makes tackling look like an impossible task, tried a slide tackle and absolutely missed the ball with noone near him.

Forrest looking really poor too and wee Frimpong not been in it.

Goalie did well a few times.

Thought Ed was limping. But not sure if it's just his walk. Good to see Ajeti on the score sheet again but he's offside quite a bit.

 

Thought we have been really poor at times and look really disjointed at times which has gifted County chances. But we're 2-0 and both strikers have scored so that's good.

 

I remember listening to an interview with Darren O'Dea (I think) about when Jiri Jarosik joined after just winning the English Premier League with Chelsea and his first game was away to ICT. He asked where the stand was

We maybe 2-0 up but nobody can be happy with that performance? Since we scored the penalty County have more or less been the better team and can feel unlucky to be 2-0 down. We got 2 soft goals from set pieces with not much else , really disappointing. County have smothered the midfield and have played the ball around nicely almost catching us on the break on a few occasions. Ntchamp looks like he is playing his first game for us, Forest thinks he can take the world. Calmac looks like he doesnt know what the * is going on and Broony wandering around looking for his legs. Broony and Ntcham again prove they cannot start together. Forest shoehorned in when Ely is the natural left sided player. Broony will stay on so Christie for Ntcham and Ely for Forest but Lennon will take off Frimpong for Ely and move Forest right. Need better in the second half.COYBIG

 

Forrest and ntcham have been pretty poor i think.

Mate, Christie plays like that every week. He tries to press on his one's and because of that he looks like this headless chicken..

We haven't been a secure, fluid unit in there for a while..

Someone should be drilling them on shape, pressing and movement to make space for each other/triangles in the middle because it certainly hasn't worked since we've returned especially..

 

Got to give them a chance to get used to the system..

2 in the box is the main thing.
