He may well find himself used as a left winger in the next few games, as both Jerry and Christie can play right side and we are thin on the ground left side, Ely not exactly ripping it up on the left, maybe go to the No 10 position.

I dont mind him off the left. He spends most of his time coming inside the park anyway so. No real difference.

That's an early contender for goal of the season! McGregor was superb for the build up!

What a set up by CalMc. And was all about moving the ball quickly out of defense.

Agree with this we haven’t seen enough of this sort of play from CalMac recently, he has so much more to his game than what has been on display this season so far.

When did he lose the ability to go past a player on the wing?

Anonymous tonight. As has been said, his lack of desire (or ability) to go past a player right now is crazy.

He’s had a sluggish start to the season but don’t read a single thing into tonight’s performance - Clarke doesn’t play with attacking wingers. He’s being asked to be for Clarke’s Scotland, ultimately, a right back.

    Which is mental.

It’s clear whatever Brendan Rodgers done to motivate him made him a better player all round. He’s been * ever since he left, bar a few appearances.

We’ve always had this issue with wingers coming through the academy since before McGeady, pace, skill then unable to clear the 1st man. These players have great starts to their careers, then just stop progressing as the other teams work them out, for some reason the academy players are never able to overcome this mental block, I don’t know if it’s desire or lack of ambition but nothing seems to drive them to be better. Forrest is sadly starting to turn into such player.

He hasn't been a traditional byline winger for years, rarely goes on the outside anymore.

He does his best work playing quick one-twos and finding space in pockets around the box. It's no coincidence that he isn't playing his best football without someone like Rogic in the team, that's the type of player Forrest feeds off of.

Agree with Rogic type players and even wee CM if he gets his * forward would help him.

Forrest still offers us a lot, aye he hasn't been great for a bit consistently, but the whole team is a bit like that.
