The 2nd goal particularly had ALOT to do with barkas, running out from his post like that was * stupid, he gave himself less time to react and made it easier for the striker.

But why would it be in the board’s interest not to reach the cash cow of the CL?

100%. Elhammad might not have done amazing but if he mistimed it he’s off as he was on a yellow. He pushed far enough wide he shouldn’t have been scoring with that shot

Well i was * off about tonite then again i am 66 this year and i have been * of a few times with us , i was 5 when i was taken to my first game at Parkheed, for to play a game in Europe at home and not to play a striker,in a one off game is a fukin disgrace.

Its like telling someone to drive to Newcastle without any fuel in the car.

I reckon Lennon has lost a fair bit of the support after that debacle tonight.
I reckon he's lost a huge chunk of the support tonight.

Don't understand why Klimala was still on the bench when we needed him on the pitch. Think his pace would be a perfect solution to our striking problems in this game.

Andy Walker on Sky Sports saying that we didn’t play with a recognised striker but had three on the bench- “Klimala, Ajeti and… Soro”

To be fair we have barely seen Soro since been here so maybe he is a striker after all :giggle1:

Possibly only the play offs to negotiate.
2 teams get a bye into the play offs from the CL 2nd rd losers.

Bad enough not playing a striker but why the * not play the 2 * strikers try and get the game won then play as many central midfielders you want.

Some of that tonight reminded me of when Rodgers was manager. All possession and little penetration. Was noticeable when Lenny took over how we still played nice football, but we could string 3 or 4 passes together and the ball could be 50 yards up the field. Tonight too much passing back or sideways to give the opposition too much time to get back and organise when we were attacking imho...

That is fair enough but that second goal they scored was schoolboy stuff beaten first by the bounce of the ball, then presented at least two chances to take it off the boy due to his average control.

Our finishing was also very poor except for when Ely got flagged wrongly offside.

End of the day we should have put a few goals past them and won comfortably but instead we bottled it.

We don't have a keeper that can save games for us anymore, Lennon's * tactics and team selection in Europe, No striker except for the last 10 mins, Defence being * as usual.

You'd have to ask them that. While your at it ask them why do they gamble with qualification every year and see what they say

Especially against a team who were keeping the ball at the back to run the clock down.

Ajeti coming on against that team last week you could see as fine since they were essetially an * team and he could get a run out. The weekend as well we were struggling and we needed him in the box a they were sitting deep.

But tonight we were playing well enough and getting plenty of openings, to opt for a guy who will barely even be fit in 3 weeks when we have a pacey guy who is a threat at running in behind and who can close down the keeper and defenders who we know are going to be trying to kill time was a poor decision.

Are you really blaming the board for that tonight?
