His arrival has clearly been overshadowed by Boli-Gate, but i think this is a tremendous signing. His record in a comparable league was sensational, he’s young and a Swiss international. Fits our model perfectly. Lennon’s appraisal on him speaks volumes too. I think it’s clear he plans to make him first choice. Which means 3-5-2 again which I’m
    Delighted about.

I'd be happy about it if we had more than 3 centre halves in the squad and someone who can play LWB

I think we might see Mo Elynoussi playing LWB, especially against the lesser teams. Forrest or Frimpong on the right. We do need another CB though. A big * who takes no *.

But the new Hoops star has no plans to meet up with his Switzerland team-mate in Glasgow.

Asked if he will speak to Itten, Ajeti said: "I don’t think so.

"We’ve been good friends in the academy but this is it, we are big rivals now. But this is football.

Love that! Am a * hanging about wae that hun!! :56::56:

Interesting reading comments from West Ham fans, apart from one rocket with a Union Jack in his name with the obligatory ‘he’s *’ every single one of them is raging that he never got a chance to prove himself.

Strange when a team is dogshit, they don’t try and change it.

Strikers seem to go there to die. Haller is a good player, can’t get going. Javier Hernandez never really got going. For some reason you’ve got Michail Antonio scoring hat tricks.

Looks a brilliant signing. One am really excited about to. I always feel confident when we go £4M or above. Lawell always says we will spend the money if it represents good value. Well £5M is a lot for us. Lennon, the scouting team and board must be very confident that this represents good value to spend that kind of money. Look forward to seeing what he can do!

    Welcome ajeti!

I like the 3-5-2 but to have it as our main system we at least need another CB (unless elhamed can step up) and a LB and we will be dropping some big players for us to make it work. Probably Frimpong and Elyonoussi go out and even then it takes a lot away from Forrests game imo.

The glaring thing for me though is that domestically at least I think Brown is less and less required. Especially if we switch from 5 mids down to 3. Christie and Mcgregor deeper with Moi in behind or Ntcham and Mcgregor with Christie in behind would be the most dynamic and best set up for the 3-5-2. Love Brown but I think for most games domestically now his position isn't required.

As long as he's not sitting there with a petted lip 6 months from now, wearing Celtic gear and saying how much he hopes FC Basel have a place for him (and referring to himself in the 3rd person for extra obnoxiousness points).

I honestly think El Hamed is a better defender than Ajer.

Anyone who doesn't is aff their heid.

Elhamed is better in the air and when he goes to ground he wins the ball 9 times out of 10.

Wonder how soon we can expect to see him once we sre back.

He must be miles behind fitness wise. Will take a week to shake off the fish bowls and 3 euro slices of pizza.

His composure is my favourite thing about him. He always seems calm and assured, be it going for a tackle, aerial duel or playing a pass. Ajer to me never looks as comfortable and it feels like he can get rattled pretty easily.

    I love Elhamed.

Ajer is your modern day marauding CB. Obviously gets that from his midfield days. He’s still really learning the position at CB. It would be interesting to see how he’d do in a defensive mid role now, with Jullien, Elhamed and another proper CB behind him.

Club released an article today saying Odsonne and Ajeti are a match made in paradise. Really playing up to this partnership idea so it bodes well for Eddy staying.
