He'll definitely contribute over the season but doesnae need to start every game and needs to be subbed earlier when he's pish, expecting him to be good every week at his age is ridiculous, Ferguson didn't play giggs and Scholes every week when they got older, playing him for 80 - 90 mins every week won't do him or us any favours.

Could see why he was subbed today, could even have done it at HT, he never had to do any defending and he was seeing too much of the ball going forward but doesn't add anything to us doing that. Was a man down. Then again Ntcham although not on for long did pretty much the exact same, wasted long range passes and only played it to the side as well.

Could easily be transitioned into an impact sub, coming on with 30 minutes to play to protect a lead. Afraid that he doesn't have as much to offer as a first team starter game in game out as he has had previously.

He definitely has a part to play in certain games this season.

But away to Killie on a plastic pitch when we are needing to break them down? Probably not. Better going with McGregor, Ntcham, Christie for that type of game in my opinion. Rogic if he is fit.

And yes, I am aware he scored the winner there last season.

Broony was no worse than anyone else today, because of his age if he has poor game the default comment is 'his legs have gone' or 'he's past it'. He didnt look off the pace he was just * like every other Celtic player today.

He didn't need to come as deep, he's in line with the 2 centre halves when the opposition is camped in their own half, he should have been much further up the park adding to our attacking options.

I just think we need someone more creative in games like this. Defensive midfielder when we spend most of the game attacking?

LEWIS MORGAN has hailed Scott Brown's leadership qualities as he described him as Celtic's manager on the pitch.

The former Hoops winger played alongside Brown during his two-year spell at Celtic Park.

And he says the midfielder's influence is like having a second boss.

Asked if he'll make a good manager one day, Morgan told Open Goal: "Yeah for sure.

On the pitch, he is the manager. I think Lennon gives him the freedom to do that as well and police the boys.

"When you've got someone like him playing, it is like having another manager."

Morgan also hailed the talents of youngster Jeremie Frimpong as he revealed Brown and Callum McGregor urged coaches to start the right-back.

He said: "He’s exactly what Man City would want in a full-back so I’m not sure how Celtic have managed to get him.

He’d came up and trained and within the first couple of weeks I remember Cal and Broony after training saying one day ‘He has to play’.

"I think they told the coaches he has to play. He’s so quick.

"When he said it, it carries a lot weight and the coaches listened and not looked back since.

"He’s great, he’s a great kid. He’s so young and has so much energy and is just happy all the time. You see him on social media and it’s not an act, that’s how he is."

There’s no need for him in games like today, he offers nothing going forward and Dundee Utd weren’t enough of a threat for him to be helpful at the back.

As great as Broony is, we canny afford a slow player in the middle of the park, this season Lenny has to use Broony wisely and not just throw him in to every game, it's imperative we have options.

Was Soro on the bench ? Was hoping he would take Brown's place eventually but the fact he's not getting used as a sub makes me think he's not the answer. We can't keep expecting him to play 40-50 games a season. Ridiculous.

He has a part to play in certain games but we can’t play him every week. Especially in games like today and against Killie where they have 10 men

As good as Utd were today they didn’t offer much threat going forward so we don’t need him there.

McGregor is not a defensive player but he plays that deep role very well as he reads the game superbly and is great at starting counter attacks with his quick thinking and forward passing.

Soro hasn’t got much of a chance yet but at this point I would rather play with the likes of McGregor, Ntcham, Christie etc and then give Soro 30 mins or so here and there when we are more comfortably in the lead.
