They’re completely different players but I definitely wouldn’t call it ‘so much more’.

End product, no doubt about it statistically, but technical ability and use of possession Ntcham is miles ahead and in certain games that’s what’s required.

Needs to be in the team.

Our midfield 3 the last two games has had one player who can barely run and one who can’t pass to a teammate.

McGregor needs a bit more support.

    Was thinking this today.

Been one of our best players pre season and comes off the bench at 80 mins away to Kilmarnock.

    Can see him leaving.

For me Christie gives the team a lot more.

Oli has it all in his locker but he's wildly inconsistent. Bear in mind that his possession game also consisted of a pirouette 25 yards out from goal v Copenhagen that sold the jerseys in a knockout tie.

He can be tremendous or terrible. There very rarely seems to be an in between.

Ntcham is hit and miss, but he’s a better footballer than Christie. Christie is so poor in possession on a regular basis.

He’s a machine in terms of running power and gets a fair amount of goals, but he’s just not a number 10 type player. To me he’s got the same strengths and weaknesses as Armstrong.

I’d have both of them in the team right now. Drop Brown.

Ntcham's peak is much higher than Christie. I've said before that he has everything but we very rarely see it all pieced together to good effect for the team.

Christie has a better touch than Armstrong and has a bit more dig but I get the similarities. His goal and assist output is wild though, even in * games he contributes. It's hard to keep that out.

people on here forgetting that the leaked transfer document had 'let go for acceptable price' on it (of course you could say that about any player but it was only written on Ntchams bit). No doubt that's played a part in whats being going on behind the scenes, although I'm still try to work out how it resulted in him not getting game time, surely if you're trying to punt the guy for the most amount of money you play him?

He's clearly not clinical enough in front of goal to play the 10 role, however more than capable of playing CM alongside McGregor. Brown is well off it at the moment and it's not looking like he's going to turn that around anytime soon, best thing would be to start Ntcham midweek, everyone can see it so lets hope Lennon can

Southampton have revived their interest in Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, but Everton and West Ham are also interested in the 24-year-old Frenchman. (90Min)

Don’t know how reliable the source is however this is what’s in the tabloid gossip tomorrow down south.

Had a strange pre season in terms of playing with the supposed 2nd string and only having cameo roles in 1st two games this season.

He won't be here by the end of the season, no chance will he want to stay when he's on the bench, and i can't see us not selling a valuable asset with the money we've spent so far.

Southampton have revived their interest in Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, but have been joined in the transfer race by Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham.

The 24-year-old has long been linked with a move to England, after playing a starring role at Celtic Park for the past three seasons. He's won every trophy possible in Scotland, also clocking up 20 Under-21 appearances for France during his time north of the border

His impressive performances haven't gone unnoticed, and it's been confirmed to 90min that Southampton are back on his trail after selling former captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Tottenham last week.

The Dane was allowed to leave St Mary's in a deal worth up to £25m after informing the club that he wouldn't be extending his contract, which was due to expire next summer.

Southampton may need to act swiftly if they want to land Ntcham - who has just one year left on his Celtic contract and is available for around £20m - with Everton and West Ham also now hot on his heels. Both sides are in the market for midfield reinforcements after disappointing 2019/20 Premier League campaigns, and both have significant pulling power when it comes to paying wages.

Ntcham is interested in moving back to the Premier League, and has a point to prove after failing to make the grade at Manchester City as a teenager. He spent five years in the club's academy after moving to England from Le Havre, but failed to make an appearance for the club - instead spending two full seasons on loan at Genoa between 2015 and 2017

His form in Italy persuaded Celtic to take him to Scotland on a four-year deal, but having won everything on offer, Ntcham looks set to move on as penning fresh terms is unlikely.

If he can find any sort of consistency he's a top 10 quality EPL midfielder, no doubt about that. Still quite young at 24, I'd be sad to see him go but not surprised. I can't recall the last time he started 2 games on the bounce for us.

No danger we'll get 20m for him with only a year on contract. Sad to see him go but can't blame him, stuck on a bench watching inferior players starting ahead of him constantly.
