He was signed before Lennon arrived, so it’s kind of irrelevant regarding system.

He actually looked a good fit from footage. Bit of pace and a good finisher in the box, can play off the shoulder of the defender and had the added bonus of being decent in the air.

Strange signing for me none the less. As would Andersson.

I appreciate what you are saying and I appreciate Anderson is a good player, but if we have edoaurd ajeti klimala and most likely Griff and we are offered Fletcher for free or Anderson for 4mill we should most definitely be taking Fletcher . Money was spent on bayo because he was young and had potential, he was recommended by toure and had scored prolifically in Lithuania so lawell saw £££ and rolled the dice .. I actually fancy bayo to do well in France, I don't think he really got a shot with us but obviously wasn't doing it in training. Wish him the best and hopefully he can come back better or get us a decent fee

Ach you know what. * it, get him and Ajeti in and that's perfect. Eddie and Ajeti our main two.

Klimala and Thumb can be used in rotation and Fletcher can be used in those sloggish games with anyone when we need to get upfield a little quicker then usual so he can hold it up and get any one of the previous three in the game.

He’d still score goals up here and he links the play nicely. I’d take him.

I think this one was a backup to Ajeti and used to push the decision a bit.
Unless Griffith is for the off, I can not see us having 5 strikers who are all either starters or chapping on that door.
Yeah we want to play two up top, but 1 up top is probably still more common to us. Edouard, Griffiths, Ajeti and Klimala will all be fighting for legit game time, no space for a Fletcher unless one leaves and that can only surely be Griffiths (Edouard assume not to be going, Klimala only just in the door, as will Ajeti).

As long as he wasn’t on a big wage I would definitely take him as it would allow to us to go more direct when needed. Another threat from set pieces and good hold up play. With the 5 subs I think he would be a great option to have available.

Ajeti looks decent in the air as well.

I like Fletcher, always have. I think he was vastly underrated in that Hibs side, where Brown, Thomson, and Riordan were getting all the praise.

i think he would be good for the dressing room and an impactful sub, but he would likely command starting wages.... plus hes no exactly a serial winner... no qualms with him being back up though

Aye, he's always had excellent technique but its the clips of him being a proper aerial threat that I like the most.

that’s a very impressive list of endorsements that will possibly change some posters opinion. Which Ronaldo though & did Robbie Savage come down on either side?

If the wages are cheap can’t see any issue with this. Anyone know what his sheff Wednesday wages were?

Yeah £30k a week, he's at the very worst wanting half that if not around 20 or more.

    * around with a washed up striker when we could put it towards Hickey instead of * around for a few hundred grand.

    Patter, lol.

So reality is more like no player has said that about Fletcher in an interview?

I'm not against Steven Fletcher coming in so long as he's alongside a signing like Ajeti.

He cannot be the only striker signing we make.
