What a player French Oddy is. He'll go to the very top, he's got everything in his tool box.

What a player. Going by that tweet, I think he’s happy to stay this year hopefully.

He’s definitely worth at least £30m+ just now imo. But you’d wonder if he scores a few goals in the CL this season that we could command £40m+ for him.

He has the coolest first touch in Scottish football I mean that touch yesterday from the pass from frimpong where he lays off to Taylor to cross in for goal .... you can’t teach that anybody else the ball bounces too far in front

There's average EPL forwards going for 35 million plus and think we need to value our players better than we are as just look at van * going for 70 million to Liverpool .
Anything over 45 million then the club needs to look at it .

Newcastle paid 40m for joelinton and Eddy has a far better record than him. £40m in my view would be a great deal for any Premier league club.

Yes 40M, and whoever buys him would be getting a proven goal scorer in the UK, some of these continental fannys just cant hack it in the UK. A zero risk signing.

There’s no way we should even entertain a conversation about him if the starting offer isn’t at least £40m. The money thrown about down south is ridiculous and it’s about time we got market value. Take Tierney as an example: we were absolutely ripped off at £25m.

France are *, developing all this attacking talent.

Probably never see it but their national side could have peak Dembele's and Eddie as their attack.

    Brilliant.

Tierney flourishing really helps our case. People are calling £25m for him a bargain, well a striker needs to go for more, why not £40m.

Needs to be kept this season at all costs. Not optimistic about it at all.

We had to balance the risk of Tierney's recurring pelvis injuries with his fee. He's obviously doing well now but all things considered I think £25m was probably about right.

I do think we were bumped for Van Dijk though, given we got about half Tierney's fee and he's the best CB in the world now.

Eddie doesn't have injury problems, has a brilliant pedigree from PSG and the French International youth squads, is on the cusp of a call-up to the World Champions and is tearing it up for us at home and in Europe. He was toying with the Lazio defence in Rome.

Anything less than £35m and we've punted the family silver on the cheap again.

The market has changed a lot even since we sold Van Dijk though.

That was 5 year ago now, remember.

Agreed but Van Dijk done nothing at Southampton to see his value rise x6.

Liverpool will also look at the £75m spent as a bargain.

It was clear as day he was going all the way to the top. I'm glad we're now getting fees more reflective of value.
