Aaron Hickey

I'd like to see him brought in, i really rate him, but i think if this was going to happen it would have been tied up a few weeks ago, maybe the kid has an eye on going overseas.

 

Can see epl they can pay whatever the fee will be and not think of him as anymore than a prospect

 

I honestly don’t see it with this boy, yes we need a LB but we need better than the current Hearts LB.

 

£1.5 is a bit steep.

We need a left back to come straight into the starting XI if we’re signing one. Hickey won’t do that.

 

Only 18 and plenty potential, don’t want to end up same situation as Robertson.

Also we’ll get 25% back on the £1.5M, no brainer for me, I’d trust him over Boli as back up to Taylor.

 

Would work out just over 1.1m with our % there

 

Taylor and Hickey gives me more confidence than Taylor and Boli tbh.

For the money quoted I would bring him in.

 

The diets are on their *. No compensation due and * down to the championship with a bloated, high earning squad..

Think Liam Boyce is on 6 bags a week alone. Mental..

I can't see the 1.5 figure being true and the 25/30% future fee to us puts us in the driving seat....if we want him..

 

I'd sign him and loan him back out

Him in under 800k. Wouldn't be mad to loan him, think he has played a lot of football for his age, think we can coach that bit of rawness out of him and he can act as backup to taylor

He isn’t.

Yet.

 

Maybe I haven't seen enough of him but I can't get excited about it. Nothing to me suggests he'll be better than Taylor and I think LB is the weakest position in our starting 11.

 

Offer 750K and agree to loan back till Jan, by which time we maybe able to offload Boli.

 

I don’t think he’s better than Taylor just now, but think having two young left backs, both eager to improve and establish themselves as first choice, could really benefit us.

Would be great to bring in somewhere out of nowhere in the Izzy mould, but for the prices quoted, signing Hickey would be a good option imo.

Like the look of this boy when I've seen him, not the finished article but defeintely got something about him that looks quality. Him + Taylor would settle our LB position for years to come imo.

 

I would like to sign him given our option bidding around £1m + offering one or two of our prospects on loan say Afolabi, Dees or McInroy(they are meant to be after a CM).

Get Hickey on the KT diet to bulk him up a bit and we could have a cracking full back. He is very comfortable on the ball with either foot.

I do think he was given a tough time being part of that Hearts defence due to how bad they were. For a 17 year old he has a lot of potential.
