    Do you mean La Casa?

I wasn’t but I’ve just seen the price list for Maccies Monday to Wednesday and it would be rude not to at 49 pence for a cheeseburger or chicken mayo :56:

Never tried the Polo club, need to give it a try

How do you find out what restaurants are taking part in this?

Go onto "eat out to help out" and type in your post code and it'll give you restaurant near you, also look up your favourite restaurant online and it'll tell you if they're doing it. But most are anyway

Don't get why they aren't applying this to takeaways. Surely encouraging large amount of folk to congregate inside the one building, social distancing or not, isn't exactly doing the world of good under the circumstances.

I mean from the same restaurants that you're sitting in. It would give them a bigger boost than filling half the tables, or however many they're filling.

Would rather pay full price for a takeaway just now than half price sitting in.

A half price takeaway would be better though :84:

Takeaways have been coining it in since the start of lockdown. Profits probably up on previous years.
The whole point is to give a boost to sit in restaurants that were closed for months.
It’s a good idea for restaurants but does seem at odds with the generally cautious approach to covid that is still being advised for everything else.

That's what I mentioned in the last part. Plenty of these places that are sit in also do takeaway, so why not let them include that ?

Just seems a bit daft to me, to an extent. Might actually affect them with less folk wanting to pay full whack for a takeaway so they're restricting the amount of sales they make.

    Especially smaller places.

I get the reasoning behind this but seeing as only last week the government was expressing concerns about obesity perhaps excluding the likes of Mcd's etc restaurants would have been a good idea.

    Indeed :giggle1:
