    Definitely.

Klimala is still untested in competitive games for us and Griffiths is still liable to get the odd knock here and there. If we are going to regularly use two up top then we need four strikers.

Griffs close control and * over the keeper on the second goal was pure class. Looking forward to him being fully up to speed again.

Guaranteed Griffs will run riot this season and be another Hunslayer.

He will scalp them and other teams and maybe leave for Hibs next season.

I honestly believe he will show us and the gaffer hes serious and proove the doubters wrong.

When the huns laughed at us taking on Lenny they laughed at the state of Griffs,he will be the one laughing at the end of this.

So happy he got the head down and worked his way back in that quick, when he's focused and motivated it's a game changer.

NEIL Lennon said he was pleased with Leigh Griffiths’ progress after the Hoops striker helped Celtic to a 3-1 win against Hibernian in their final pre-season friendly before this weekend’s season opener.

Hibernian presented a good challenge for Celtic and took the lead in the 14th minute. Celtic secured a well-deserved equaliser through Karamoko Dembele before half time.

With the score level, Neil Lennon brought Griffiths on just before the hour mark. The 29-year-old helped Celtic take the lead when he cut open the Hibs defence and chipped the keeper, leaving Patryk Klimala to tap into an open goal. Five minutes later, his corner was headed in at the back post by Klimala to secure the win for the Hoops.

Speaking to the media after the game, Neil Lennon praised Griffiths for the hard work he has put in while the team were away in France.

“Leigh was great today,” said Neil Lennon. “He looks great and it was the best I’ve seen him in a long time in terms of how he looks and his conditioning.

“I’m delighted with his response to what we’ve asked of him. He just has to maintain that now and there’s no question he’ll be a real asset to us. We’ll see how he is over the next few days. He thinks he’s maybe a week to 10 days away from being ready.”

    I don't get it.

Lenny was praising Leigh coming back from France with how he's knuckled down since being left out. Now he doesn't make a 9 man bench.

Praising his application doesn’t necessarily mean he’s ready though. I would be expecting Griffiths to keep up that same level of commitment for a bit longer than a week before bringing him back into the team.

Griffiths isn't match fit, but even if he were, what kind of message would that send to players who bothered to put the effort in during lockdown and preseason?

Lenny intimated it would have been Griff himself who stated he’s still a bit away from being ‘ready’.

He’s still behind the rest of the squad in terms of physical condition so naturally he shouldn’t be on the bench.

Yet another rumour going around on that other Celtic site, don’t know exactly what it’s meant to be about but there are the usual ones talking about ripping up his contract because of it.

His burd seems a right dafty. Shes enjoying the good life the now but maybe not so much when his career nosedives and the money dries up. Leigh doing his best to * his Celtic career up.
