    Bob we have had this conversation before what would you do leaving school with little qualifications and no prospects or join the forces to learn a trade ? I took the latter route and was fortunate not to be involved in any conflicts or spend a lifetime on benefits which route would the majority take ?

    Aye i think we had this discussion before lol...go to a training centre to learn a trade.

    But that's precisely why Nuremberg is so relevant.

    It clearly laid down the principle that individual soldiers are culpable, through the act of carrying out illegal orders.

    TBH though, I think we have a fundamentally different way of seeing this, which is kind-of going to be the bottom line here...

    Yep, that is just about spot on mate. I only took issue with the fact someone said in an above post (could have been you, but like your good self couldn't be arsed re-checking) that I condoned pummelling the locals (as in civilians) I don't, but pummel * out of opposing armies or terrorists..Yes....Pummel them to * as opposed to our own troops being on the receiving end.

    Read that yesterday * shocking stuff, I’m actually surprised that they never sealed the documents under ‘national security’.
