Would not be against this. Not saying he'll start every game but as an option from the bench or cover... Think he could do a job.

17/18 he started 34 games and scored 5 goals in the league
18/19 he started 17 games and scored 4 goals in the league
19/20 he started 7 games and scored 5 goals in the league - should be noted he has only scored in 3 league games of those 7.

We have Edouard, Griffiths, Klimala and Bayo - this guy is not needed considering we mostly play 1 up top. even if we do go 2 up top, it won't be for every game and we now have 4 strikers, our own youth to look towards and even some fringe/wide players who could fill in if needed.

He is also 27 before the end of this season, hardly youthful, little to no sell on value and although could be coming in to his prime, that's going to be some * jump from 5 goals a league campaign, to being able to play for Celtic and be expected to score twice, if not three times that as a rotational player - or be deemed pointless. We don't need a striker who can score 5 league goals a season when getting 30+ games sitting on our bench.

We already have far too many of these type of squad players, I would rather the money was used towards a player that is going to push Forrest as he seems to have went back into his comfort zone.

He’s a winger that relies on pace but aye I think he’s average.

Would prefer we went for someone more technical seeing as we’re up against 11 men behind the ball on a weekly basis.

Someone similar to a Forrest/Elyounoussi/Roberts type who can cut inside and link up well. (Shved :fear:)

Was continuing to look in to him, and yeah more of a winger - for me those stats still do not look good - christ we just got rid of Sinclair who was doing double that, and even 21 in the league alone one year.
Forrest is already in double figures as well. As for assists Boyle is not looking much better, 3, 4 and 3 in the last three seasons - pretty much directly involved in 8 goals a season. Forrest is double that the past couple seasons. Completely not intrigued by this link to Boyle.

Start of January we had 8 wingers on the books, we now have 6 - we do not need more bang average wingers, we need rid of another 2 or 3 and then one key winger brought in to compete with Forrest - not warm the bench for a 5 minute cameo.

True. But I would have expected Shved to do that or Frimpong as a RWB will take some moving too.

He wouldn't be my first pick, don't get me wrong but I'd not be against it. Lennon was at Hibs with him for a while so would know what he's capable of.

Guess its Lennon looking for a back up for Forrest, which looks like game over for Shved.
Would just use Jerry as back up, especially with ElHam on the way back.
Seems to me just another squad filler.
