As for Spain, I think weekly deaths and hospitalisations are a better indicator of safety than the number of cases, due to the differences in how they're reported in different countries. Both figures are signficantly lower for Spain than they are for England right now.

It's almost as if Westminster want it to seem like they haven't massively * up in comparison to other countries.

 

I’m a gambler mate but it doesn’t appeal to me at all.

 

i think the rates of infections are more important than the number of deaths.
a sad way to think about it, but the dead don't spread.

I just came back from Alicante on Friday , trust me you are safer in Spain than you are in the UK .
Everybody maintains social distancing and wears masks all the time apart from the odd * up obnoxious British tourist . The government should have introduced local restrictions instead of a blanket restriction for the whole of Spain .

 

As a hotel receptionist this is a massive kick in the balls as I only started work last week...
Thankfully we don't get many guests from the UK but if Germany or Holland also implements quarantine...

That’s been my experience as well. The Spanish seem to have it handled quite well, compared to here.

Finally got a refund not going

 

As I'm outside beni it's been quiet, but tonight went into old town for a scran, old town was busy, we then walked along levante beech, mostly Spaniards. Bars pretty quiet, it may be different in the strip/Square but that's not my bag when I'm with the wife and weans. Everyone wearing masks cops pretty visable. My local beach the cops have been using drones to keep tabs on social distancing and regular tannoy announcements, some bars taking temperature readings and disenfecting the soles of ur feet before entry. When u arrive at alicante there's staff making sure u have ur masks and looking for either the app to be completed for them to scan qr code or completed appropriate form. Everyone respecting rules and regs. Enjoy mate.

With the insurance being void we couldn’t take a chance mate mrs is type1 diabetic and mother in law just got all clear from cancer last year

 

Defo mate right desicion, I've had a * of a year, lost my mum in June to cancer and when it became apparent the airbridge was happening we booked our flights. The apartment is my wife's cousins and she had a cancellation

 

At least if we get stranded we won't be homeless

As much as Spain seems to be back to some degree of normal, no sense risking that much to get there. It will be there next year, and I’m sure back to normal.
