Forster has been brilliant and he’d be my first choice but if Barkas is ready to sign we might regret not getting it wrapped up asap. International keeper who by all accounts has been excellent at AEK Athens and he’s only 26.

 

Not a fan of FF seemingly dicking us about but he's a proven entity for us so he should be the #1 target still

FF and barkas are the same prices roughly, one we can make money on we are losing money on but it's a real hard decision as FF has won us games with how good he is

Ended up watching lots of games on Youtube last night. Of course the two Lazio games were watched and also the Cup Final amongst several others. That save from that Cataldi volley at home really was incredible.

Still can’t get my head around his change of heart when you see his reaction, the players and the fans after those victories.

 

SOUTHAMPTON claim Fraser Forster had no intention of returning to Celtic this summer.

The English international was a key part of Neil Lennon’s squad last season and helped the club win a ninth consecutive title as well as the Betfred Cup and making the last four in the Scottish Cup.



The Parkhead side were keen to hand the 32-year-old a return to Glasgow as they look to make history by clinching ten in a row.

Back in July the Celtic boss admitted a deal had been struck between the two clubs for Forster but it was the player who was stalling on the switch.


He said: "There was a deal agreed between both the clubs and it's gone quiet from the player's side of things.

"Like everything else, we would dearly love him back here.”

But Saints chief executive Martin Semmens insists the big keeper always had his heart set on staying with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.


Semmens says the Austrian gaffer will give Forster his chance as he battles Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn for a starting spot



Speaking to the BBC, he said: “Fraser made an active decision to come back, he didn’t want to stay at Celtic anymore, he wanted to come back and play for us, and we will give him that opportunity.



There’s never been any issue with Fraser from a relationship point of view. He has always trained brilliantly and he is a fantastic guy,

“Ralph and him have never had any issues and they’ve not really had a lot of time together.

“He has always been our player and one that we watched carefully.


Fraser has been a full part of the squad since we came back. He couldn’t be involved in the games in July, because he wasn’t allowed to be part of that squad.

 

Lost all respect for him with how he acted and he's possibly getting punted out on loan anyway. Lol..
