I think so mate. I'll have to get my mate to send all the details. He rang up and booked for 5 of us this morning. Yeah only been there a couple of days before the pool party might not be a bad thing

As said since Thomas cook went under. They couldn't get direct flights. We are in the airport for 5 hours waiting on the connection coming back but going to book a lounge in the airport

    What a * up.

How often were the government questioned why Spain were on the approved list?

Seems a bit * to add them to the list and then remove them after people have booked their holiday, or have gone on holiday and haven't planned for two weeks quarantine.

We were thinking of going away to either Tenerife or maybe Palma Nova end of August. Hopefully this is lifted by then.

But if you think about it they made the right decision and the speed at which they implemented it (a few hours) was correct.
Go back to March and the dilly dallying when the virus was running rampant over spain, yet they allowed Spanish supporters into the UK to attend a European game, plus the amount of flights coming in from all over the world made a vast difference to the amount of deaths in this country, 40+ thousand.
The only criticism I can say about the Scottish government is the fact we caved into pressure to open up the air ways into spain because England had done it a few weeks earlier, not a mistake wee Nicky will be doing again I suspect.
So I hope all those Tory and labour MPs who were * about how the SNP was destroying the travel industry due to not opening up air routes abroad realise the folly of their complaining.
This country as a whole is getting the virus down to a minimal and manageable rate and we cannot risk a 2nd wave getting a toe hold, so while I have sympathy for those on holiday and going on holiday, the safety of the population is more important.

You will need to show me when I said they aren't entitled to a refund ? I, like a few others on here, have commented on your advice to tell a lie to get the refund. As telling a blatant lie to get the problem resolved isn't by any stretch of the imagination anything other than * stupid but heyho you'll be on hand to help anyone dumb enough to follow your advice I suppose.. but aye it's me who is the * LOL.

While you are more than welcome to have a pop at least have the baws to tag me in future :50:

Got to say it's the right thing to do. I wouldn't even consider booking a holiday abroad for at least another year. This virus isn't going away. We might be getting a handle on it in Scotland but all the recent freedom of movement is showing growing numbers of people coming forward with it now which suggests that it is being brought in either over the borders or by flight. We did all the right things here in Scotland in that 4/5 months of lock down which allowed us to treat those who had it or were going to get it. We were and are containing it but it wouldn't take much for another lock down to recur. This virus is rife in some places home and abroad and like most countries we have our fair share of vulnerable people. Even folk who believed themselves to be fit and healthy have died with it. No one can predict how it is going to present within individuals but what is clear those who have had it badly will be suffering from the after effects of it for the rest of their lives. I really wouldn't want to chance sitting on a plane surrounded by dozens of strangers.

It's the sort of place that's worth seeing once at least. I'm not a big gambler, so that was enough for me.
