Squad players could still be picking up a decent wage(say 6/8k per week) but maybe only playing a quarter of the games.

In the long run they could be costing you more than simply buying quality in the first place.

For me it’s quality over quantity, and making up the rest of the squad with our best youngsters.

Rodgers fecked off and left us with a huge squad with guys like Kundai Benyu, Jack Hendry, and Marvin Compper wasting fortunes.

 

CB, ST and GK should be our main priorities atm, could serve us signing a LB nearer the end of the window if boli leaves.

 

So punt 3-6 million on a player that could rupture their ligaments during warmup, that lays them off for a year? That makes total business sense

Every player clubs sign could be either good or bad, yes you have a medical team which will give a full in depth report into their current health etc (Turnbull is a great example, check pulled up issues and signing was cancelled) but players are human, not robots an injury can hit them any time of the day or night just like you or I.

Every team needs squad players, to just think about 4/6 games in Europe and ignore the 50+ domestic games over the season is a worrying mind frame, it’s not fm it’s actual business and money involved.

Cant believe people can try defend our lack of transfer business as ok to this point.

We have 1 * GK and he's not the best at that. This is the 10 in a row season. There should be absolutely no * about involved.

I've said time and time again if we somehow don't win the league this season and we've been tight as * on deals the fans will never forgive the board and we will be back to the days of Neil Lennon begging the fans to come back to games.

While i hope we bring in some fresh faces i wouldnt be surprised if we only bring in a keeper (at a push giving the situation with griff, a striker).
No matter whats at stake this season,facts are this virus has messed up things and the finaces are delicate.

I hope im proved wrong and we splash the cash but i cant see that happening,anyway with regards to the ten,what we have at the moment Griff included ,is good enough.

Hun is the only threath to us and our squad as it is should be strong enough.

Don’t think it’s complete panic stations just yet but there’s no doubt more business should have been done by this point.

A manager wants signings in during pre season so we can integrate the new boys with the rest of the squad and get them up to speed tactically as well as fitness wise. Lenny has simply not been given that opportunity. We never do much business early so it’s no surprise but still as frustrating as ever.

Sutton was right in his article this morning saying the squad lacks strength in depth in a few positions.

 

These were done after the Cluj game, I'm not particularly bothered about Europe tbh, it's only a money maker tbh, however it more likely will dictate our spending/lack of it.

We'll get a gk in some capacity, looks like it'll be Marshall, Hart or Barkas soon. The rest will follow after Europe, if we go out it'll be loans, if we go through then we may see a bit spent.

The defence is in dire need of improvement for Europe, FBs and another CB, only Jules has seemed dependable, Ajer might have his head elsewhere going by his performances before and after break and we don't have any dependable FBs, although I'd just go with 3 CBs now.

We're okay for Scotland, which really is my only concern. Personally if you offered me 10 right now with no Europe I'd take it now.
