Think we need to look if frimpong or O'Connor can cover left back . Taylor is now firmly first choice but O'Connor should get a chance. Also think we need to bring in hickey. Taylor first choice and hickey developing and covering would be a good choice. Really like hickey we need him in. Boli unfortunately just doesn't have it and I get the impression he has no idea where he is meant to be and Lennon roaring at him has him a bag of nerves. (Lennon should be roaring at him). Completely out of his depth, it's just about trying to recoup some money on him now

Honestly felt before he got injured last season he would kick on and show some quality. He has all the attributes to be a decent left back, pace, power and stamina. Unfortunately it all counts for * all because he seems completely incapable of the most basic of passes. He doesn't seem to be able to read the game either. Always a couple steps behind when defending.

I do think at times he has came in for unfair criticism. But his first two showings in these friendlies has been an abysmal showing

Hickey would be an upgrade if current performances by bolingoli are anything to go by

It's his positioning that frightens me most. It's almost comical, or it would be if he was playing for some other * lol. He charges over into the middle and leaves folk behind him, and closes folk down at the wrong time constantly. I'm hoping that can be coached out of him.

I agree with the question “who authorised the signing of this dud”?

There is no footballer in there, he’s awful. Look at his eyes, I genuinely don’t even think there’s a light on in there.

It says more about who signed him and who plays him. I love Lenny, but this dud will haunt him and his arrogance by putting out the same tactical set up against Sevco twice last season almost hurt us too.

A total and utter dud who I wouldn’t even trust to pass me the salt in a restaurant.

He might be awright on the left hand side of a front three due to his pace and power...

Just keep him as far away from LB as possible..

I think he has definite attributes but the longer we go on it’s becoming more and more apparent he’s a square peg in a round hole at left back in this Celtic side.

Whoever was watching this guy and told Celtic to buy him needs his P45 .
If Taylor gets a long term injury and we need to play this joker for the most of the season well think we could drop a few more points than we should .

Doesn’t seem to understand the basics of defending or positioning. He just literally charged about and is all over the place. He also is lost if there isn’t a quick one two on in attack. He can’t get past a man despite being quick. I would cut our losses ASAP.

Missed seeing the game but reading the last few pages, seems like he’s coming onto a game.

Controversial opinion- I’d give him a bash at the AML role.

Quietly confident Taylor is gradually growing into a Celtic level player. But Boli is never going to make it. If Rapid Vienna still have the same manager they’d maybe take him back at a cut fee as he seemed to be a big fan of his.

We can’t go through the season with all the pressure on Taylor to fill the LB and LWB roles. Need reinforcements.

Physical attributes like pace can only take you so far as a footballer. This guys basic technical fundamentals are absolute *, Taylor’s no Roberto Carlos but he’s far better.

No idea how someone could scout him and think there is a player there, positionally all over the place, struggles playing simple passes and dives in when unnecessary.

Taylor is okay, but for me is a bit slow for the top level in Europe the way we play

ideally Taylor would be a rotational option with another left back.

We should punt Boli for whatever we can get just now and bring another left back in.

I heard Lennon shouting "Boli, where are you going?", during the Nice game.

That more or less sums up his performances.

    Lyon game was it not?
Heard it as well and thought same *.
Guy was about 30 yards out of position while playing the ball out of defence and Lyon was pressing.
He was still drifting away from where he should have been (left back, seemed like he was ready to play the number ten role almost) when Lennon had to shout at him.

One plus point to the no fans thing, we can hear the staff like this.

I would love him to work out for us but honestly, he gives me the fear every time an opposing team attacks down his flank. He has the speed and strength for the position but his awareness and positioning really need to be up a level or two.

He's an athlete no doubt .

    Just not a footballer.
